  1. It doesn't change their reasons though. Point is, some were losing their you know what over why when it really doesn't make any difference to anyone who isn't onboard. Most discussions here, not all, but most have to do with things that affect future cruising.
  2. I posted on another thread the email I got from Princess yesterday. They've updated theirs.
  3. I just got this from Princess: our valued guest, Great news! Earlier this month, Princess introduced relaxed health and safety guidelines to welcome more guests on board. Certain countries, including Canada, maintained additional requirements for entry. Yesterday, Transport Canada announced they are removing all their COVID-19 requirements to enter the country starting October 1, 2022. This means we’re prepared to welcome all guests on cruises visiting, arriving or departing from Canadian ports, including the remaining of the season for our highly popular Canada & New England voyages. We also look forward to returning to Alaska in 2023 where Princess is the #1 cruise line and all our itineraries feature visits to Canada. We can't wait to welcome everyone on board who has waited so patiently for the past three years for these destinations to fully open. This is yet another step in the right direction that makes booking a Princess cruise to Canada & New England or Alaska seamless and hassle-free. For full details visit: Princess.com/CruiseHealth ❯ We're thrilled for you to visit Canada’s magnificent destinations all while enjoying friendly, personalized service and those "only on Princess" moments, provided by the best crew in the cruise industry. We look forward to seeing you on a Princess cruise!
  4. Last time to get off is usually 930 or so. There's always a few stragglers, but everyone is usually off the ship by 10 at the latest. RCI very temporarily had a program where you could pay to stay a bit later in public spaces only, but that's gone.
  5. Based on experience? The demographics aren't that different. We've been on Carnival several times.
  6. I've been on Grandeur (7 times), Enchantment (5 times) and Vision (1 time). The only thing open after lunch hours is Park Cafe and Cafe Latetudes. WJ has always closed around 3 and MDR isn't open on port days.
  7. For comparison: https://www.carnival.com/vifp/benefits https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf
  8. But, on Carnival, it doesn't really get you much of anything. Their perks are minimal at best.
  9. All Vision class are that way and have been. Nothing new.
  10. Pretty sure the individual has been tasked with making decisions and know what they can and can't do. It's not like the reasons she's late was caused by the ship. It's personal responsibility.
  11. But, that's not just up to you when there are a lot of people behind you. It impacts everyone when someone doesn't plan well. The person should have gotten up earlier. If they had that low a number they would have been long off the ship if they had gotten in line when it was their turn instead of expecting others to do it for them. I don't think the crew member was out of line at all. Too many people expect to be treated special.
  12. Because masked crew aren't catching it? LOL we all know that is not true. I think it should be up to each crew member.
  13. Someone I know who just got off EN a couple of weeks ago said they were starting installation. They were working on the cable so I would think it's done by now. There were a couple of other ships mentioned that were the first few.
  14. I'm absolutely sure Royal did this for a reason that really isn't our concern. Common sense says that fuel was available today at FLL and not tomorrow at PC.
  15. You need to move on and quit taking this all so personally. I never said I knew they wouldn't fit. Heck, I didn't even think of it as an option. You need to get over yourself. I guess after 30+ cruises I wouldn't know that tags do get pulled off. It does happen.
  16. 5 pm update shows it going more west so very possibly the east coast of FL is safe unless it makes a really hard right in it's track. The eastern Caribbean and Bahamas appear to be good.
  17. I can't edit my check in or see my boarding pass on the website from my laptop for our 6 Nov cruise. But, DH can. We both use Chrome and we both have Surface Laptops using Windows 11. But, I can do it all using Edge. DH printed our boarding passes but I still need to add photos which I'll do on the app later or maybe using Edge. On Chrome, I get the "Information is currently not available. Please try again later.". I was getting that before the outage and am still getting it. While they may have done an upgrade yesterday, there are clearly still a lot of issues. And, before anyone says to clear my cache, I have way too many passwords saved in Chrome. I just got them all back up after resetting an old laptop and accidentally clearing Chrome a few weeks ago. Not interested in doing that again.
  18. Having never, ever used the tags the porters use, I wouldn't know what size they were. Don't assume.
  19. Probably because they normally take it on at St. Maarten and the bunkers at PC are already scheduled for others. Just a guess, but it makes the most sense.
  20. They should provide a template with the initial reservation/invoice. I have plastic holders for a reason and that reason is I don't like the paper ones that are easy to pull off and that includes the ones the porters give you. I also put two on each bag. Hopefully for our 6 Nov cruise this won't be an issue. Also, can you imagine the backup if the porters have to fill out every tag for every single bag?
  21. On FB, those onboard posted that the Captain had announced this fueling stop several times. Due to the change in itinerary they needed to stop for fuel, that's all. They should be leaving shortly for a day at sea.
  22. Depends on size of the ship and number of cabins in a particular category.
  23. Well, I can log into the website as of a few minutes ago, but it shows 0 cruises. I guess it's progress lol.
