  1. I have the same ship and itinerary booked. I look forward to any info (dailies, menus, excursions, etc.) that you can provide.
  2. It's wider than standard. Click HERE In the link above, you can see the extra space above the man in the red shirt. 15278 has a standard balcony plus that space with the slanted wall.
  3. THIS is why some forum members (myself included) copy/paste NCL's rules and guidelines. Being able to do something outside of the rules before does not guarantee that it will happen again.
  4. Looking straight down to the water is rare. This is an intentional aspect of many modern ships. For the Breakaway/Breakaway Plus ships, the best options to look straight down to the water are the forward sections of deck 8 as those balconies extend out. If you are above them, your view straight down will be of their balcony. For the most part, side balconies will look straight down to the Waterfront, the awning above the Waterfront, or the lifeboats depending on the location and the ship.
  5. There's a chance that a YC guest can "loan" their card or wristband to an interloper. You don't need to show or swipe a card for drinks in the Yacht Club like you do in the Haven. I agree but nothing MSC is handled ASAP. Neither have I but I will be more vigilant in the future.
  6. Room steward is included. Butler and concierge are not.
  7. If you have not pre-paid, the amount will be deducted from your onboard account daily.
  8. If you take the promo, you pay the 20% service charge on the package. The package is currently $109 per person per day. You pay $21.80pppd. This amount is added to the fare and paid before you get on the ship. Once on the ship, drinks $15 or less that are covered will cost you nothing extra. Your service charge is already taken care of. If you choose to tip, that is up to you. If your drink is over $15 ($20 shot, for ex), you pay the difference ($5) plus 20% on that difference ($1) for a total charge of $6 on your account. If you DO NOT have a drink package, each individual drink has a 20% service charge added. If you mean the daily service charge, that is completely separate from the promo service charge. If you have not booked yet... For bookings made on or after January 1, 2023: $25.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $20.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite and below ...but if you are already booked, you might be able to pre-pay at a lower rate. It depends on when you booked. The recent increase can be avoided if you booked before an increase and pay in advance.
  9. We have 2 children who aren't even teens, yet. The premium lines won't have the water-slides, bumper cars, go-karts, etc. that the mainstream lines have. Going Haven/Yacht Club works best for us. Suite Neighborhood on Icon OTS (RCCL) is also a possibility that I'm researching mainly because I want to experience the ship. Celebrity Retreat (Edge Class with the goofy Tragic Carpet) and Explora Journeys are a "maybe" for us in the future.
  10. None of them other than 13108/13708 are really obstructed even though the deck plan has the PrivaSea symbol in many places. 13340 (angled/larger balcony than standard) and 13356 (wider balcony than standard) are good choices and they also have the bed near the balcony which I prefer. Is there a particular reason that you want deck 13? There are larger balcony options (some the same price) on other decks. What are your preferences? Near elevator? Away from elevator? Bed location? etc.
  11. I think that it's $59 + 20% now. ($70.80) (I was too slow...doing the math)
  12. If the under 21 is guest 2, the under 21 gets the soda package. The promo service charge will adjust down once the under 21's age is entered. If the under 21 is guest 3-8, the under 21 gets nothing.
  13. If enough people bring the issue to the attention of the YC director, maybe something will be done. On NCL, the concierge is in charge of Haven access. Some Haven concierges are known to be strict when it comes to access. Maybe Yacht Club guests can start to post the names of the Yacht Club directors that are strict. The ones who keep the Yacht Club what it is supposed to be should be acknowledged.
  14. I didn't have any issue doing a mock booking just now. I could select an experience, deck, stateroom, etc. I could click to see the deck plan, go back, no problem.
  15. The current promo has the drink package for guests 1-8 who are over 21 years-old. For years, it was only for guests 1&2. This has been the case for years, too. It used to be for all guests in the stateroom but that was many years ago. "Offer will be applied to the 1st and 2nd guest in the stateroom. Internet package is per person. Two logins per stateroom." It used to be per stateroom and it didn't matter which person used it. There have been a few changes in promos so it's important to know what's up at the time of booking.
  16. For your particular cruise, what is the price difference between Bella and Fantastica? I just looked at a random cruise date and the difference was only $10pp.
  17. With the way that NCL is pricing Prima/Viva Haven, it's sometimes possible to get 2 Yacht Club Deluxe Balcony staterooms for the price of 1 Haven stateroom. 😉
  18. Especially now that NCL has gotten more strict with the number of apps, sides, and desserts for the SDP.
  19. What about smoking on the ship? Outdoor Areas Smoking, including cigars, pipe, electronic cigarettes and vapor smoking devices, is not permitted in or near venues serving food, the jogging track, outdoor sporting venues, children's pool areas, Vibe Beach Club, Posh Beach Club or The Waterfront. ^^ What the website says but whether or not it is enforced can vary.
  20. If someone does call for that specific stateroom and is ready to make a deposit, that reservation will be wiped out. I've done that exact same thing when someone "held" a Royal Suite without a deposit. I was prepared to book one of the Owner's Suites since I thought that the Royal Suites were all booked but the "phone concierge" saw the hold, removed it, and completed my booking in the less expensive Royal Suite.
  21. That's unacceptable. Whether MSC Yacht Club or NCL Haven. the escort(s) never had to make contact with anyone. Something as simple as those retractable crowd barriers could make the process better. I understand and agree. It shouldn't be that difficult especially when doing the same thing every cruise. There should be a better standard operating procedure.
  22. People should know what they are agreeing to before making a deposit. By pointing out that something is in the contract, people aren't saying "Yeah, it's great....". People are just stating the facts. It can also be seen as a warning to others who will be impacted in the future.
  23. Dress code may be higher in the Manhattan Room (check the dailies to be sure). Manhattan Room is larger but some of that space is for the dance floor. Menus are the same.
