  1. Carnival's whole house of cards is propped up by their casinos. They know that and they won't do anything to send those guests elsewhere.
  2. The only way to make audio calls with Carnival WiFi would be over a chat service like facebook messenger. You can't call someone's phone number over Carnival WiFi.
  3. But would you say the tables are wheelchair height?
  4. I have experienced the late night snacks on Disney. It is mostly small finger foods - canapes I guess you could say. Nothing exciting. TGI Fridays style frozen appetizers. HOWEVER - Disney offers complimentary 24/7 room service. You can get a nice bacon cheeseburger any time of night with a phone call. They are also not "the fun ships" with a lot of late night activities. The adults only comedian on my latest Disney cruise was a ventriloquist and there was nothing adults only about the performance at all. They pretty much roll up the sidewalks on Disney after 11PM on most nights.
  5. I've never gotten billed for a call unless I answered it, but I guess all plans are different. I have gotten billed for received text messages however.
  6. They don't. But once you purchase 15 individually served alcoholic drinks (a beer, glass of wine, etc - whether a la carte or Cheers), you are cut off for the day. So if you want buckets or pitchers, buy them before you're cut off.
  7. Once you hit your 15 you are cut off from any further alcoholic drink service of any kind. You can buy a pitcher or bucket before you hit your 15 though. As long as the bartenders don't cut you off if you think it's a good idea to drink that much.
  8. How are they losing money on that 2 year old?
  9. Yep - I was going to explain how I had tasted cat food, but I figured that cat owners would get it no explanation necessary!
  10. On my last cruise I ordered a cheesesteak from the deli. The crew member open the sandwich after cooking it to feel the temperature, she knew it was still frozen inside and served it to me anyway. The meat was gray and tasted like cat food. So yeah if we could get a few steps above prison food that would be great.
  11. Good point. It's only an issue for those of us who have cruised Carnival for years and know what they're capable of.
  12. NO it is not included in Bubbles. The juices that are covered in Bubbles are mixer type juices - pineapple juice, cranberry juice, etc., served out of small cans at the bars.
  13. People who aren't sailing with Carnival aren't the reason they have to suspend priority boarding for journeys cruises.
  14. Yes. What I do is I fund my S&S account with a credit card. I charge my gambling to my S&S account. 3% surcharge to get chips. At some point before the end of the cruise, I feed my gift cards into the kiosk or hand them over to guest services.
  15. No matter what happens, my guess is your fanny pack is safe.
  16. Best advice on this thread. Just because one plan offers it doesn't mean yours does!
  17. For the fees charged for room service delivery, when ordering drinks, etc., I agree. They're mandatory fees not gratuities.
  18. Maybe Carnival is testing just how low their clientele's standards are. They'll eat gristly "chicken fingers" that are mostly breading without much complaint. What's next? Top Ramen on the dinner buffet?
  19. I don't know why they kept the "on ships without seaday brunch" part. I guess they're keeping it in there in case they ever decide to phase out sea day brunch. You can redeem you free seaday brunch drink during any seaday brunch seating. Again, the last day of the cruise thing is only for ships that don't have seaday brunch (which as we've discussed is not a thing at present).
  20. It's a novelty for people to post on Instagram.
  21. That last day thing is only for ships without brunch (is that still a thing?) and has been part of it for a long time. It's nice they increased the payout to $16, previously it was $10
  22. You can turn cellular data OFF but keep the cellular modem active so that SMS and calls are still active.
  23. There's no reason that a travel agent can't do what you're asking. In many ways working with a TA can be easier than dealing with Carnival - ask us who had good TAs when all the COVID cruises were being cancelled/rebooked/etc and the waits for Carnival via their standard 1-800 number were hours long. Look for a TA who specializes in group cruises.
  24. The alchemy bar doesn't have the bubble smoke machine, at least they didn't used to. They might have added it recently.
