  1. They need to tighten up. Regulations like SOLAS are written in blood.
  2. LOL how many Amex black cardholders do you think cruise Carnival and are begging for free cruises? Not many I would reckon. Do you expect to be taken seriously?

  4. They absolutely will leave you at the pier. If your plane lands at 12:45, give an extra 30 minutes to get your bags and you're already late for your shuttle - that's assuming the plane is on time. And it's a good hour on the bus to Canaveral. You're not going to make this ship. You need an earlier flight.
  5. Probably fairly accurate, but you can get Jijis or sushi with much less than 10k.
  6. If it shows on your online order, then yes. I have never sailed out of Texas. It is common to have to pay tax when in US waters though.
  7. It's been a rule for years that they never really enforced. They just recently said they're going to enforce it. I bet they're failing SOLAS audits. Time will tell.
  8. Thank you - obscene was the wrong choice of word there.
  9. Carnival makes an obscene amount of money selling alcohol. They're not in the business of giving away their cash cow.
  10. Oh they certainly can. Whether or not they will close to sailing is another matter, and depends on need.
  11. Assuming Carnival hasn't hiked the price between now and when you sail, which they have been doing every few months here lately. I'd say it makes sense to go ahead and lock in your price now if you know you're going to want something. Prepay your grats, wifi, bottled water, etc.
  12. If your phone supports sharing the wifi connection as a hotspot (turning itself into a travel router so to speak), then it should work. Not many phones support this. If your hotspot is sharing the cellular as most are, then it won't work.
  13. You should contact special needs, if need be they can boot someone out of an accessible cabin if they don't need it.
  14. Useless info - everyone's a big winner on the internet. Everyone always comes out ahead. Everyone always gambles with less than you but always hits the bonuses and always gets the comps. Etc.

  16. I'm not sure why you think Carnival needs to know what kind of medicine you are taking?
  17. There is no published schedule of comps. Their formula is kept secret.
  18. They turn levers as needed to fill the ships. Recall that during COVID many folks got free cruises who had never set foot on a Carnival ship - or hadn't cruised Carnival in years and years. While I am sure the casino does look at past play to determine future comps, it's only one aspect of their formula.
  19. If Cheers is more valuable to you, then yeah I'd just ask the Host for a different comp. Steakhouse, spa treatment, etc.
  20. If you plan to gamble and get the points I would not buy the drink package personally. 1500 points really isn't that many tbh, lots of folks get that many on the first night - obviously depending on how much you bet etc.
  21. In general casinos tend to give better comps to slot players. That seems to be true no matter if it's a cruise or land based casino.
  22. How many couples would have a Mormon wife and a fish for a husband if they allowed blanket exceptions?
  23. Carnival does not have a published schedule of comps, other than I think 1500 points gets you drinks on us while playing for the remainder of the cruise. The rest of their comps - free steakhouse dinner, free cruise offers, etc., are not given out at a set number of points.
  24. Yeah I agree, the math is the easiest if you're an Alchemy or at least a mixed drink drinker. You'd have to be a heavy beer drinker to make it worthwhile on beer alone.
