  1. Fun Times has been delivered to the stateroom every night for months now, not sure when your last cruise was - this started back in the fall of 23. Around that time they also seemed to bring menus around each night by default as well. The best argument for using your phone on the cruise, and frankly it is much more convenient. But the old way of checking in at the door is still valid and available for those of us who wish to.
  2. The cards haven't changed sicne 2018 so if you needed a lanyard then, then you need one now. I didn't need a lanyard in 2018 and don't need one now. You can get a paper menu in the MDR if you wish.
  3. Depends on the rate code. If it was a casino rate or some other special rate that only daughter 2 got, then yeah it will probably trigger a refare. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3527/~/name-changes
  4. Yeah I would send a message to JH on his Facebook page - he will forward your issue on to someone who can help. Calling the general 1-800 number or emails are easy to ignore or get misdirected.
  5. Welcome to the exclusive club of over 2 million! Nice humble brag 😉
  6. Can someone else go? If so pay the name change fee and put someone else in that room. Is daughter 2 certain she can't go? If she no-show's you don't need to do anything so she has plenty of time to change her mind.
  7. The best time to visit the casino if you are sensitive to smoke is when the casino is closed.
  8. I've never eaten refrigerator cold steak in my life...doesn't sound appealing to me ngl...
  9. they do still sell them but they're only available onboard or like @Ranyw said on eBay. you can get the same exact thing but without the Carnival logo from Oriental Trading most likely.
  10. Keep checking back, if the person who is holding the cabin in their cart never checks out after some time (maybe 30 minutes or so) it'll go back to being available again.
  11. Odds are much greater that it will increase in price rather than go on sale if you ask me. Carnival has been hiking the price of their add-ons every few months here lately.

  13. The only ports where you get priority access are tender ports. So if your cruise doesn't have a tender port, or if you are booking an early Carnival excursion at that port anyway, FTTF does you no good.
  14. Frankly, it's good for the Bahamas. While they shouldn't be greedy - they should get their fair share of the revenue generated by them. Frankly, would Carnival or Royal Caribbean as we know them today even exist if it were not for Nassau?
  15. Yeah so what is the use? You don't get your stateroom ready early anymore. You don't get to bypass your arrival appointment. In your case would it be worth $100 to be able to use the priority line at guest services? Not for me, wouldn't even give it a second thought.
  16. It's a combination of the price increase and the reduction in what you get for your money. It was fine when it was $50, especially if there was a tender port on your itinerary.
  17. I book my Carnival cruises through a big box TA and I get a small gift card. I book insides on casino rates and I doubt Carnival pays big commissions so the gift cards are small, less than $100 typically. But still, if I'm going on the cruise anyway why not? I don't pay a dime more than if I booked direct. Other lines I shop around a bit, especially Disney. There are a blue million Disney travel specialists around and they fight like crazy to get your business so you can get some decent gifts.
  18. The steaks can be quite good but yeah that's a good plan. In the past the cost was a good bit cheaper than a land steakhouse, but that's not really true anymore.
  19. My last several cruises I've seen multiple people in swimwear like they just came out of the pool in the Lido restaurant. Even Walmart kicks people out who don't wear shirts. Not Carnival!
  20. PVPs are not in that business. If you want extra gifts etc then your best bet would be to work with a travel agent. Many travel agents will spend part of their commission on gifts for their clients, especially if you book nicer rooms, airfare, hotel, rental car, etc., all with them.
  21. They use electric grills above a water bath. The water catches the fat drippings so there are no flare-ups.
  22. My final reply. An 8x10 and the digital file are not the same thing. If you want both you'll have to pay for both, or don't buy anything at all.
  23. I think most people are able to understand the concept of a bundle and the fact that some bundles don't include everything I may want. For example at Chick-Fil-A I don't consider it being charged double if I want a cookie even though I've already ordered a #1 meal.
