  1. Everything that is included in the package is listed on the website. If digitals are included they'll be listed. If not you'll have to buy them separately.
  2. At a certain point carrier pigeons would be more reliable.
  3. I was able to compare firsthand the condition of the Disney Dream and Carnival Magic, both of similar age. The difference in maintenance was striking. The Disney ship still looked new - the elevator buttons weren't even scratched. The Carnival ship had stained carpeting and upholstery everywhere (I don't think there was a single chair or section of carpet that wasn't stained actually), rust all over, dirty floors, splintered handrails, broken floor tiles, hazy windows, etc.
  4. Cruise ships are like sails in crosswinds because they sit so high in the water.
  5. If you want a preferable cabin then it would behoove you to book it. The deal with guarantee cabins as you probably know is you get what you get. I don't think they give "better" guarantee cabins to Platinum and Diamond - if they did, my guess is it would be listed as a VIFP benefit.
  6. Read the terms of the VIFP offer. Generally they state the person who received the offer must be in the cabin to get the deal.

  8. What are you going to do when the stop in Aruba is cancelled because of high winds, or any other myriad of reasons that might cause you to miss the stop?
  9. Carnival Corp & plc really only exists to get credit (and they need a lot of that right now as we all know). Princess doesn't care if you book a Carnival cruise or vice versa so they have no reason to cooperate with their branded cards.
  10. It really seems to only be the shows in the main theater that have two show times, in general. Comedy, musicians, center stage, etc., don't work on the same schedule. Perhaps its time for all this to change actually.
  11. That's how they do it on all the Excel class ships, not sure why.
  12. There is very little cooperation between the Carnival Corp brands, at least on the customer-facing side.
  13. They're different cards so probably not - but Barclay would know the answer, I'd call them if I were you.
  14. You've already got your answer directly from Carnival so I am not sure why you're asking here expecting a different answer. It's not just Carnival or us being mean, Aruba as a sovereign nation has the right to require visitors follow the proper procedures to enter their country.
  15. usually the free inside cabins are last minute fill the ship deals so unlikely to get an upgrade offer tbh.

  17. You will have customs issues in Aruba and the US and will probably need to work with the US Embassy in Aruba to get all that sorted out. I'm not sure how understanding they'll be when you tell them you went AWOL from your cruise on purpose because you found a cheap hotel in Aruba. Cruises are not meant to be one-way transportation. If you want that, book a flight to Aruba.
  18. They can continue being the price winner. But I'm sure the entire industry is looking at the prices RCCL is getting for Icon and are calling every shipyard they can.
  19. Your review mirrors most of my experience when I sailed Magic over Labor Day 2023. The only difference is the food on my cruise was horrible. It was essentially hospital food. So it's good they've improved the food since. But yes the ship was dirty, stained carpet and upholstery everywhere, smelled like smoke, people smoking whatever they wanted wherever they wanted, etc.
  20. I doubt Carnival Cruise Line will build anything smaller than Vista class ever again. If they get smaller ships, it'll be transferred from another Carnival Corp brand like Luminosa.
  21. I don't know about anyone else but all I see are people complaining about the people who complain about semantics. But there is nobody here who is complaining about the semantics...only those complaining about the complainers.
  22. Of all the cruise stops I'd never want to be stranded at, Jamaica is top of the mark. Good luck to everyone affected.
  23. There are paved areas. Shaded picnic areas. Etc. I would say it is much more scooter friendly than Half Moon Cay.
  24. Not really a "Multiplex" anymore is it, now that the thrill theater is gone. But putting the arcade there makes a lot more sense than the nonsmoking casino.
  25. The lack of snack foods is a big deal for some, I get it. It was surprising to me when I first cruised as well. But I'm used to it now.
