  1. Did I mention that we are dieting starting tomorrow? 😂 DH can put away some food. Not sure how he maintains his Tom Selleck figure.
  2. A few shots of the Teen space on deck 2. Also, they were setting up for the park west art auction on the deck 2 debarkation platform. A great use of space, imo.
  3. A chilly sea day as we head back to FLL. Cool breeze makes me regret not packing long sleeves. I guess I better buckle up bc it below freezing n the ATL tonight. Oh, and we had company!
  4. Sorry, lighting is off and pics aren’t good. But I checked and The only thing over $17 is the flight.
  5. YC is a No brainer and if you can do it for the same price as a non retreat on Celebrity, then go for it. There will be more on offer for school aged people on MSC that Celebrity, regardless of category.
  6. I’m not opposed to giving them all a try… just for the comparison purposes of course. But good Lord, would I need a good diet regimen 🤣.
  7. Have to agree that the PV balcony is small. For me it was the better option over SV due to the amount of shade the PV offers. Additionally, we had solid walls on both sides.. no dividers so it felt extremely private.
  8. @zitsky this is a great thread. Just read every page to DH. He’s not a CCer so isn’t privy to these sorts of discussions. He’s amazed at the general consensus being so in line with our own after this trip.
  9. I have to admit, while maybe not so diplomatic in your approach, you make some great points. DH and I are in our Sky room right now viewing the ocean through the expansive bank of windows while propped up against pillows on our forward facing bed. There’s no way I’d pay 10x more to do this in an iconic suite but have no ire whatsoever towards those who do. Service on the Retreat Sun deck yesterday was lacking for everyone…not just us SS dwellers. Were I in one of those true suites yesterday, I’d be very disappointed.
  10. After being on Ascent for the last six days, both in and out of a Sky suite, here’s what I think… I see no reason to ever book a suite again, at least on E class. We have a MC sky suite booked on Edge in May. We will keep it only because we got a great deal and has all the AI inclusions of days gone by, which we’d lose if we downgraded.
  11. We dined in the Rooftop Garden Grill last night and aside from Eden, was one of our favorites…the star of the show. I will even go so far as to say it was hands down better than the steakhouse. @hcat when you go there in December you must ask for Rueben. He was outstanding! We asked him for his recommendations and he was spot on! He even threw in a few tasting items, like brisket, so we could try it without ordering a full portion. Most impressive was when he brought the bill. He drew a line through the gratuity line explaining that the 20% was already added. (We tipped him extra in cash as he absolutely deserved it!) As for the venue itself, it is the E class version of the Lawn Club grill, which is only on a select few of the S class ships. It’s open air and you can see into the kitchen. Just a great place! Im not sure at this point why the app didn’t show any available reservations as the venue was not full. Not even close. We had Conundrum wine with dinner. It was $2 over the premium package limit. Last time we sailed on Celebrity (July), it was priced within the premium package limit. We paid the difference of course, but it makes me wonder if perhaps Celebrity are testing the waters on how much over the limit they can eek up prices without pushback.
  12. This is the exact conversation DH and I had this afternoon. Given that Retreat is sold out on this 3 night getaway, the staff working the Retreat deck is definitely not commiserate with the number of guests. In contrast, we left for the sunset bar and were asked by 2 different servers for our drink order, which we received almost immediately.
  13. On s class you can get a B &P at the passport bar, which services Luminae on deck three. I’m not sure what bar services Luminae on E class. Retreat bar, maybe? Agree with @ETHTrader in that it could likely depend which bar you go to.
  14. Thanks for the pics! We are going there tonight. Looks awesome! Glad you’re enjoying the cruise!
  15. Interestingly, the wine glasses in the photo I posted have been removed but the taller cocktail glasses still remain.
  16. This might be hard to believe but by 1 pm I was feeling a little hungry. 🤣 Decided to order the signature burger from the outdoor deck menu. The retreat area is quite filled up today and the wait for drinks and food (chair side) has been rather slow. Along with my burger I ordered a round of drinks… Bloody Mary for me and Peña colada for DH. Took about 40 minutes for the burger. Drinks never arrived. Another passenger who was angered by the wait of the food stormed off the pool deck angrily proclaiming to the concierge that she had waited 45 minutes for food that never came and was going to the OVC to get her own lunch. She was “tired of the terrible service!” I had never witnessed a passenger being so rude to a member of the crew. It was shameful. Anyway, I shared my lunch with DH and then we set off to the Sunset bar for a round of drinks. On our way out the door, DH pointed to a nearby table and asked me, “Are those our drinks?” Sure enough, they were… the poor guy set them down at the wrong table. Growing pains…
  17. These glasses were tucked in the corner outside our stateroom door. I asked DH who put their glasses outside our door but then realized they were our glasses from last night. So I guess the procedure must be for the room attendant to place dishes outside the door upon servicing for another crew member to pick up? Noticed dishes outside doors along the corridor. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this process before.
  18. On my trek to the bar I actually saw a lady topple out of one as she was trying to sit down. She didn’t seem to be injured but…it could have been ugly. 😵‍💫
