We have cruised both Silver Sea and Regent in Alaska. I would never sail a mass market line there. With the mass market lines port times are too short, and you miss the best stops. If you can afford it Silver sea is the way to go.

That is a check in time. Boarding will begin around 11:30 for people who are not in the Haven, or do not have status, or need disability assistance. All of those go first, then the masses begin to board by groups.

Nothing small about Prima. A small ship carries less than 750 people. A mid size ship less than 2000. Anything larger is a large ship. Ports are getting smarter and limiting access to small and mid size ships.

Your best bet is to either post this on the Alaska port of call forum or to google it. Better yet do both.

OP has said that they are in Michigan and had to drive two hours to get to airport where they could get Delta to Athens. That tells me they are in a small town in Michigan, probably not a lot of flight options. Once you miss that evening flight heading across the pond you are pretty much stuck going the next day. . It’s not like a domestic flight with a lot of options, though you probably don’t have a lot of options from a small airport anyway. Even if OP had booked themselves the same thing would have likely happened. When flying across the pond always better to book at least 2 days before the cruise, though 3 is better.

Escalating to off the ship will accomplish nothing. Go to guest services and wait until you talk to someone with stripes on their sleeves.

It really has delayed the time when regular cabins are available until between 2:30 and 3:00 on most sailings. I don’t know what if any impact it has had on suites and Haven
