  1. Being in crowds of people exposes you to airborne virsus like flu, cold and Covid. Its not going away so take time to weigh your risks and then take appropriate precautions like wearing a mask if you are concerned. Sorry OP is ill but virus borne illnesses are not going away
  2. You need to consider the cost of the FAS gratuities. It is about $40 per day for two people. that amounts to about 4 or 5 drinks. If your husband will have that many then the package even with both of you paying for it is worth while, if he won't drink enough drink to cover the gratuities then opt to pay as you go.
  3. NCL's ship their rules. All adults in the cabin get the package or none do, the rule designed to limit sharing.
  4. what does Whittier have to do with a cruise sailing into Seward? OP is better off on the smaller ship. the only people who spend the inside passage day inside the ship are the ones who came to AK for the wrong reason. AK is all about scenery and the place to see it is outside. Wise people are outside enjoying the cruise not inside he ship. op should book the one way and plan on renting a car in Anchorage and staying at least a night or two exploring the area.
  5. Just an FYI you will fly into Anchorage and then transfer by road or rail to Seward. The train ride down is very scenic.
  6. This is the most likely scenario, but as the quoted poster says its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
  7. We don't find the Vancouver terminal to be a nightmare, it's just different because you have to clear US customs before boarding the ship. IMO the Vancouver - Seward trip is the way to go for scenery. The inside passage alone makes this trip superior than a Seattle round-trip.
  8. You have a number of options from renting a car to hiring a cab for a tour.
  9. if the cruise is canceled the excursion is canceled.
  10. Good guess but for sure the DSC part is incorrect.
  11. You can share a plan. My wife and. I do it all the time and in fact I share my plan between my iPad and my laptop. Only one device can be logged in at a time.
  12. As you enter the cabin the shower is on one side of the passage and the toilet is on the other. They are closed off with frosted glass partitions or doors if you will.
  13. Be advised that in the VI driving is on the left so make sure you are comfortable with that before renting,
  14. you would have been refunded what yu paid fr the excursion to the same form of payment that you used to pay for it. there was no need to call.
  15. When you get on board there will be a place to make dining reservations and they have many times available that you can't necessarily get online,
  16. Kids or people without the dining package do not have to order off a different menu, in fact most children over the age of about 8 will not order off the kids menu.
  17. Take a look at the bathroom situation on Epic as part of your decision.
  18. Since he doesn't need it for anything he doesn't have to worry about it even if he chooses not to renew it prior to his cruise.
  19. She doesn’t need a passport. A state issued ID and a state issued birth certificate will be fine unless she is doing a one way out of Vancouver.
  20. The menus are not the same every night. They have a portion that doesn't change but most of the menu changes nightly. The menus are the same in both dining rooms.
  21. There have been reports (preCovid) of items being returned but it is a long process; at least 3 or 4 months.
