The OP did not clarify whether the friend would be booked & then change the name if the friend does not go or if the friend decided to join later in the process

Sorry to hear the food was not up to their standards seems to be the normal complaint these day I am glad they are not all inclusive we do not drink much so have to pay for what we drink is fine with us as well as many other pax You can buy the drink package yes an extra fee Did you think Oceania was all inclusive when you booked ? Improve the food yes Include alcohol NO there are other lines for those that want the all inclusive deal JMO

What type of snack do you usually have? My sister (a diabetic) might have some nuts or cheese I know not everyone would have the same needs but if Oceania is not going to have places with food open for you & you know this perhaps finding another line that does would be the answer I am sue you are not the only person that is diabetic that sails on Oceania so they must find options that suit their needs JMO

Our go to line is Oceania but they do not have all the activities offered by the main stream lines They are more relaxed experience Depends on what you want to do

Just ask your TA or O to book a specific cabin then waitlist for the OV You pay the going rate when you clear the waitlist & if you do not clear it then at least you have a cabin with a balcony of you want to use it

just an observation from past disembarkations Have rarely seen ship's crew in the port areas it is usually the port employees perhaps a union rule that only port baggage handlers etc allowed The crew from the ships & not just Oceania usually are doing clean up & once the bins of luggage leave the ship it is not up to them anymore JMO

Maybe another supply issue the last couples of year have had many issues world wide Companies closing their doors now shortages of goods & services I would find a compact pr of slippers & take your own or even flip flops to wear I find those O slippers dangerous but that is me

if you put a deposit down for the wait list you have a better chance but maybe look at booking a balcony & waitlist for the OV JMO

on out 1 & only crossing they had many things to do if you are interested in them but due to the weather they had to move the games indoors some people are just not into what is on offer so to them there is nothing to do I like to read & chat with fellow shipmates so it works for me just fine some people like to be doing something all day Personal choices

We have had the same issues for a few years everyone wants off at the same time The luggage is offload by the tag colour also so you are not getting out of the terminal until your bags are off loaded they should let the line form down the grand hallway & not come from all directions Pax do not follow instructions either they stand blocking the line with their bags go sit someplace & wait for your tag to be called YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL we usually try for the 9 am time slot but with pax still lined up we now ask for 8:30 then we may be off by 9 or 9:15

Yikes I am surprised at some of the Cognac offerings as well as the prices Hope there are a lot of cognac connoisseurs with deep pockets sailing DH once ordered an expensive scotch (OBC) turns out it had gone bad guess no one was drinking it at the prices on O

You can purchase the Beverage package using the SBC just have your TA take care of it or call O & have them do it

if you took the SBC as the O Life perk you paid for it yourself It depends on where the SBC came from whether complimentary or not Non Refundable or not

if you booked with her because of her credentials maybe she does have it under control Your cruise is what 18 mths away?? Yes you may like things done ASAP but she could have all the info in your file & it will be done before your sailing give her a chance & if it does not work then use another agent next time JMO

see if your CC has any insurance that may cover the hotel Most hotels will charge you if you do not cancel by 6pm the day of arrival sometimes it is 4 pm it is usually noted in the booking If you had trip ins try them if not lesson learned

I think others had posted that you needed to purchase the packages not as part of O Life There were some discussions on this Perhaps someone who was denied the discount will post their experience
