  1. Have seen the 6 pm slot on some sailings we have been on maybe so everyone can get their allotted specialty reservations Shorter cruises do have a problem accommodating everyone sometimes
  2. we have used cruise air & were able to bid for upgraded seats with Air Canada just keep checking we bid low then went up a bit each week Not sure on International BIZ tickets sometimes people are willing to pay for those for the comfort 🙂
  3. Sound like a good plan in that case If people are sick & spreading a virus then it is a worthwhile piece of equipment then JMO
  4. Yes the R ships have their limitation we always sit on the side or the back of the lounge good sight lines from there Now you know about the R ships you can avoid them Many people like them including me Everyone has choices in life

  6. Oceania does begin & end in the same USA port or you extend to another US port they use the same size ship as Azamara
  7. taxi to the train or bus station try londontoolkit.com lots of info You can also get a transfer coach that stops at Stonehenge on the way Just depends on what you want to see & do in London they also have a HOHO bus & boat ride on the Thames
  8. Sometimes the ships have to dock where the harbour master tells them or just skip the port JMO
  9. Oceania has a few Viking also Silversea just do a search for yourself Go to the top of the page on CC FIND A CRUISE
  10. pre covid you got photos taken at check in cannot see why they would not still do this for those that are technically challenged (me included)
  11. Do you mean stay in one port for 3 days?? Maybe try a land trip There are cruises that do r/t Reykjavik and do port stops in Iceland You have to look outside "your cruise of choice" box
  12. But if you do not want tired ships then you need to change your choice as they are not going to upgrade the ship for you
  13. You have time to cancel the Sept cruise for full refund they are other ships sailing to Alaska
  14. Have not cruised post covid but pre covid the food was usually top notch some misses but it sounds like a lot of supply issues & staffing issues Untrained cooks for North American standards Maybe some crew are just not coming back maybe they found other means to sustain them during the time the ships were not sailing In the pasted when ports were missed sometimes you would get the open bar for a few hours but never an OBC/refund so to say Oceania & their communication skills are lacking ..they have always been that way IME but the onboard staff & the food usually make up for that just my opinion
  15. you should be OK just get off about 8 to 8:30 am time slot
  16. if you have a TA ask them to place a request if no TA call O and ask
  17. Yes the R ships have shade since this was about Riviera there is limited or no shade on the O class ships see the link in post #17 for photos
  18. no shade on the spa deck for those like me that burn quickly Steam room heated loungers are open to all

  21. Thanks We have only been there as a guest so thought the gratuity was included in the room rental price Did they change the name of Toscana or is it your spelling 😄
  22. It will depend on the sailing if you have 0 children or more but usually most are well behaved One cruise we had 30 children .. I saw maybe 10 at one time & all were mini adults ..very well behaved We have had some Alumni groups that must have been making the most of the beverage package 😲
  23. Do they add the gratuity to the room price ? I am guessing the wine is extra also ? Do they have other Degustation menus to choose from or just that one ? Thanks for posting
