not necessarily They will book so many GTY cabins in the Category just incase people cancel before the final payment or something happens closer to sailing They will make offers to those that booked a specific cabin to move off or up to another category to clear the GTY list They do not hold the worst cabin for those on the GTY list 😉

What category did you pay for? WAAAAY back in the early years we booked a D cabin on Insignia we ended up with an A cabin deck 7 long before the Concierge level was invented 😉

Sad to say but just because you have money for an upscale cruise does not mean they have good manners One cruise we saw a man in the Terrace at lunch at a larger table all alone he finished his soup then was snapping his fingers for the wait staff to remove the dish ..all the while never looking up from his book he was reading 🙄

Of course not I have seen this time & time again where someone will complain about their butler, the wait staff or other issues that could be dealt with onboard at the time When asked if they spoke to management onboard they respond with NO Of course it is their personal choice not to speak up & have the issue dealt with then & there I find it better to deal with issues when they happen Like when DH was served raw chicken in RG or bad Dover sole in Jacques JMO

People pay big bucks to be in the bow cabins 🙂

Go with no expectations & an open mind There are a lot of new staff so it may be a learning curve for them Most are not trained before hand & maybe never worked in the cruise industry before they learn on the job Pack some patience & manners If you have a problem speak to management when it happens not B***h about it on CC Enjoy the cruises Lyn

I do not think cabins are bad but maybe just not in a location you may want to be For me no insides, nothing past the forward elevator banks or connecting cabins most other locations are OK everyone has their preferences 😉

Maybe start your own thread so people will know it is different Different sailings will have a different vibe we were on a B2B one year 1st cruise was just fine no problem getting 2 tops in GDR or deck chairs 2nd sailing no chance of a 2 top unless it was 9pm pool deck was busy both were Caribbean cruises JMO

I have only booked a GTY once on Princess They had 1 cabin in the bow area available we took a chance booked a GTY in hopes some other cabin would open up Well guess what After that I never book GTY or wait list If there is no cabin I can choose then no cruise for me Even when I get an upgrade offer I ask "Where is the cabin" YMMV

Maybe you can find a cruise in 2024 that you both can agree on just book before the cut of f date in 2023 or get a refund I would anyone know your gender from you CC I.D. 😄

You could if your TA agrees to release the booking to the other TA but if more than 30 days the new TA may not get any commission
