Thanks for the 'Live from' Did you specifically book a cabin with a bathtub, or did it just work out that way ?

What does Oceania consider "premium economy"?
Tranquility Base replied to Lance&Jen's topic in Oceania Cruises
Have a read of the 2022 Skytrax World Airlines Awards. They list their best PE, as well as a separate category their best PE seats. Then head to seatguru and also your airline website, select aircraft type AND model, and compare to what you have selected. This should give you some basic idea as to your selected flight adds up compared to what else may be out there. -
Istanbul overnight port
Tranquility Base replied to lizyland's topic in Other Mediterranean and Black Sea Ports
Thanks cruisemom42 ......your info is very helpful. We are on 3 cruise back to back, all of which visit Istanbul. Two of the cruises are overnight, and the other one is a double overnight. During our visits we will cover the 'must see' sites, however we also want to do some DIY. One our arrival times is not till 1pm, so we would like to do some DIY wanderings in an interesting area and then stay for an evening meal. Do you have any suggestions for a couple of areas of the city to do some wanderings and eating ? Thanks. -

Cruise ship as overnight hotel in Dubai.
Tranquility Base replied to wcook's topic in Africa & Middle East
Hi Anne, I can't find the exact info online yet. Would you happen to know whether Oceania cruise lines would use Port Rashid or Dubai Harbour ? Thanks. -
Thanks to you both for clarifying that for me.

So just wanted to clarify please. If we are doing a B2B (separate booking numbers, separate invoices) we can expect any unused non-refundable ship board credit to rollover from the first cruise onto the second cruise? Of course I will check once onboard, but this is what happened with your continuous cruises ....is that correct ? Thanks.

If you are going to do the return trip; I would recommend the 14 day cruises ex Vancouver. They are simply the 7 day Nthbound + the 7 day Sthbound sold as a single cruise.

Noise levels from the Promenade deck, and from the Casino ? How long was the cruise, and did you miss not having a balcony ? Was breakfast in the Crown Grill ? Thanks.

Big Big Internet News
Tranquility Base replied to the more ports the better's topic in Oceania Cruises
This is good news. I recently disembarked a ship fitted with Starlink. It worked extremely well. -
Topper, Rock, Euphoria, One other which I can’t recall the name. All very good. Especially enjoyed Topper. PS : the singers and dancers also did two or three other shows in other venues. We enjoyed the entertainment which we went to ; both the production shows and the guest entertainers.

To those actually onboard Regatta, I see you are anchored at Port Arthur today. It is an interesting port, and I hope you enjoy your day there. Now that your cruise is back on course, I hope everyone can now enjoy the Oceania life. Thank you for the updates over the last week.

"Sir, we have a problem with poor internet whilst in port" " Don't worry, I have the solution, reduce port times" "Brilliant Sir; I will implement straight away"

A nice DIY day I’ve done. 1. Ferry from Port Chalmers to Portobello. ( Port to Port website.) Leaves from Back Beach. 2. Bus into town from Portobello. 3. Get off at Queens Gardens for a beer at the Duke of Wellington. 4. A look through First Church. 5. End up at the Octagon for a return to the ship when ready,

I see Regatta is now well on their way towards Geelong to continue their journey. Good to see, especially for those doing the next few cruises to NZ with a clean hull. NZ cruising is also currently being disrupted by the first Cyclone of the season heading for the East Coast of the North Island. Various ships are taking the necessary avoiding action and making the best of it. It’s shaping up to be a busy cruise season in NZ, so everyone is hoping any future disruptions are relatively easy to manage.

To those onboard Regatta, please keep us updated as you are doing. It is appreciated. Hopefully the dive team completes their job soon, and you are given an update as to the upcoming plan. Hopefully people here will assist the information flow by staying on topic for this thread.
