  1. I love my pirate name, Dirty Lobster Legs, arghh! Aka Dirty John Holystone😂🤷‍♀️ @AroundWithMAPTravelswelcome, we’re very nice and sometimes a little naughty.
  2. Money belts under your clothes work! We’ve seen many discarded bags, many who lost passports and even a loss of 22 k gold necklace when nice young women helped clean bird droppings. Scams change so beware, our hotel in Barcelona had a list of current ones.
  3. I could talk about tea forever, lol!
  4. Oh how nice! I understand re the photos, I jus organized some into albums but am thankful for the search function, lol!
  5. They didn’t do it precovid either. We had an amazing experience in Uji where they grow the tea. you can also try matcha ramen, and see the temple that’s also on the ten yen coin.
  6. We too love afternoon tea, From the Fairmont Empress, Banff Spings, Palliser Downton Abbey tea and Bono’s hotel in Dublin; but the best can be a cream tea! Here is one in Cornwall! Try the Victorian sponge cake! I’ll avoid the debate, but I like the jam on top
  7. Oh I am so happy to see that is back! My favourite. Thank you!
  8. Good day and thanks all! @mamaofami happy anniversary, so glad Sam got his surgery! Best wishes for a quick recovery. IMO Canadian aka back bacon is the best! @Ineke are you able to go to Bellingham? Worth checking if it’s a possibility? IMO most of the car looks good, they are great cars and protected your DS, thankfully.
  9. Ooh I so miss the Indonesian tea, their tropical green tea was wonderful, and loved seeing the national costumes! Cunard does it right, their scones and clotted cream and harps, heavenly! Yes, miss those days!
  10. Oh Terry, I am so sorry to hear your news, sending my deepest condolences and prayers for peace and comfort.
  11. Good morning and thanks all! Very thankful to hear @kazu is safe! @ger_77 stress has a way of catching up with us and it’s often after the event we need that extra rest! Hope you and Maurice get lots of it, but once he recovers I am sure he’ll feel better than he has for awhile. @smitty34877 glad you had time with family, now some rest is in order for you and Lou! Those coyotes can be scary. @RedneckBob we did visit that church, it’s in a beautiful small village, that surprised us when a Rolls emerged from a garage. We have visited Taomorina twice, once from Catania and once from Messina. @Quartzsite Cruiserwe won’t forget that massive parking garage, DH was pickpocketed while I went ahead and got on the bus, wondering what was taking him so long. Some photos of where they filmed the Godfather , and Taormina
  12. @rafinmd I know it’s tough to make a Decision about going or cancelling. Listen to your gut, if it’s better to go later that’s okay too. Just make the best decision for you.
  13. We used Athens taxi tours Michael Sterianos company to do an overnight in Meteora in a van for 7 people. They were great to work with and I would highly recommend them.
  14. @cruisemom42 thank you, we have been considering O for awhile now. Hope to meet you onboard some ship one day!
  15. I can’t believe they cancelled something without your permission. Should not be possible! Perhaps call and ask for a different PCC and a supervisor.
  16. Seems typical that there are different outcomes depending who you call. Our TA called and had CO added, room upgraded and new balance shows but we didn’t have to pay at the time.
  17. Late but sending good wishes to Maurice @ger_77 hopefully he will feel a lot better! @smitty34877so glad Lou is home and can visit some friends and family. @kazu so many preparations, I hope all stays well! @Cruising-along Bon voyage! Have a fabulous time! @mamaofami hope Sam doesn’t have to wait much longer! Scary stuff but it’s amazing what can be done. I have a neighbour and a cousin who have both recovered very well from brain bleeds.
  18. The problem is you risk arrest and detention….. so for sake of checking with the embassy and doing a simple form by email I wouldn’t take the chance. Posted July 25 (edited) We are from Canada and did the form online, I don’t recall what system. I see the US embassy has information on how to do it. Some information from them:9 Decisions on which medications or prescription drugs can be brought into Japan are made solely by the Japanese Government and subject to control under Japan’s Pharmaceutical Affairs Law. Many common medications and over-the-counter drugs in the United States are illegal in Japan. It does not matter if you have a valid U.S. prescription for a medicine/drug which is illegal in Japan: if you bring it with you, you risk arrest and detention by the Japanese authorities. The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Japan do not maintain a comprehensive list of prohibited medications or ingredients. Comprehensive information is available only from the Japanese government and is subject to change without notice. All travelers are encouraged to check before traveling to Japan at Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW) website, including reviewing FAQ , or to email yakkan@mhlw.go.jp. Travelers who need to bring more than the MLHW’s approved quantity of medication or medical devices should obtain a “Yunyu Kakunin-sho” (importation certificate) prior to travelling, and present it with the prescription to a customs officer upon arrival in Japan. Certificate approval by the Japanese government may take several weeks to process and should be received before bringing the medication or medical devices to Japan. All travelers entering Japan with a prescription medication, including medication that is not restricted in Japan, should consider bringing a copy of their doctor’s prescription as well as a letter stating the purpose of the drug. For more information about bringing medicines into Japan and how to obtain a “Yunyu Kakunin-sho” certificate, please visit the website of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and email yakkan@mhlw.go.jp. When you make your email inquiry to yakkan@mhlw.go.jp, please include the following information: The drug’s active ingredients The name of the medicine The dosage and quantity Your e-mail address
  19. @CrabbyPatti so sorry to hear about your DD, Glad you have those cruise memories. Wishing you strength and peace.
  20. My guess is he’s on his phone, with 7 out of the first 25 posts on just page one😂 happy birthday to your DM @puppycanducruise We were in Morocco ages ago! Great memories! Sadly we have a huge E. coli outbreak with over 200 little ones sick and over two dozen hospitalized with severe complications!
  21. Thanks for this! I didn’t know we had any planes here, but it makes sense as we are on thr polar flight path. Many Canadian cities sent teams to NYC after to help with peer support for the first responders as well,
  22. So proud of our Newfoundlanders who provided such wonderful hospitality at a terrible time. We first saw it in London and it brought tears to this Canadian’s eyes, as did the standing ovation! @smitty34877 sending Gentle Hugs! Glad you are finding some kindness! NYC has such a special place in our hearts.
  23. Try some of the wonderful soft drinks they have. Peach Diet Coke for one.
