  1. I highly recommend getting off the ship as early as possible, very early. Hire a driver or taxi and get yourself to the airport. Contact your airline for wheelchairs assistance, that is where it is usually done not through HAL. Your TA should have taken care of this not HAL. Don’t wait, do it yourself. The lines are long at Schiphol. I have used airport assistance for my mother with all of the major carriers and I arrange it on their website. It will help to get you through the lines faster than other passengers but do not expect speed.

  3. I have used the transfers before. Maybe it is just my perception but they don’t seem to leave until at earliest 8:30. If you are docking in Amsterdam the taxi/Uber will likely be $75 with the fuel up charges and about 30 minutes. You can also book a driver through some of the better taxi services, this is handy as they usually allow latitude in timing in case you are delayed leaving the ship. You can cancel the transfers once you make a decision.
  4. If the meat is chewy then send it back. My husband had a chewy filet one night and I insisted he send it back. The second one was excellent. Sometimes you just get a trim cut.
  5. I understand this. Every single friend of mine has bought me a mascara. No, my eyes are going to water so just quit! as a former runner I learned that bad shoes hurt more than feet, they hurt hips and knees. Find good shoes and don’t wear them past their prime.

  7. One thing is the Covid testing. Last time I was going to fly in 2 days ahead but due to Covid testing I chose to take my tests at my local pharmacy and arrive there only one day early

There is one person on this thread who is traveling from Rotterdam with a wheelchair. She never did say the time of her flight, only said early. I have my doubts. Once you miss the flight you are at square one adding: I guess if you have really good travel insurance you can not worry

  11. Call HAL and notify them of your needs. When you buy their hotel you are entitled to a transfer.

  13. If they are going to miss their flights it is far better to change now, fees and all, than to wait to the future and try changing it standing in line. It is hard enough to get in touch with flight ease or an airline, why add that kind of stress to your life. Pay money now or pay in stress later
  14. If you immediately leave the ship by Uber and go directly you should be ok. Try to be at the airport no later than 11. 3.5 hours should be safe. After my experience I would go 4 hours next time. If you are on business class there is a lounge near the gates.
  15. Uber. Taxi. There is a free shuttle in Anchorage but that would require meeting at a spot and with luggage would not be worth the hassle.

  17. If you are booked. Sign in. Got to already booked, manage my bookings, select the booking. Now you are on your itinerary page. Click shore excursions, sort through ports. Read the descriptions, if you like it click buy now. It will ask for which people and if you want to use your credit. Click the appropriate boxes, place in cart. Go to cart and buy. You can also call and the shore excursions personnel can see your cart and help you complete
  18. They are not responsible if you miss your flight. HAL allows you to pick the flights. You may need to revisit your plans. Please reread the terms. What time is your flight?
  19. My TA has heard nothing. Every time I view my itinerary and my ship there is another week “unavailable “. It is almost midway through the season, I think HAL needs to finalize plans. They simply are not going to get more people to work at remote resorts this season
  20. If it is so easy why aren’t they informing guests. It is not rocket science.
  21. I had the premium package on a recent TA. if he wants it for business or streaming he will not be satisfied with the 6 day crossing when at sea. Once in Europe it will be as good as any shared connection. Shared connections will never be what you get at home. I agree, if it is important, I get up early in the morning to nab a better signal.
  22. I have mostly had lousy economy seats but have actually had some decent ones on short flights. As said above the pitch, width, materials and padding are selected by the airline and varies by airline. It is not a Boeing issue
