  1. Refaring and preserving perks is a job for a PCC or very experienced TA. You will get the best results if you seek assistance
  2. I bring soap - body and face, shampoo and conditioner. It is a small comfort of familiarity
  3. I am looking around now. I just want somewhere I can lock the door, leave for extended periods and not worry about the hot water heater exploding. I never was fond of homeownership. My DH was an avid collector and that required a large home but he now has renewed his interest in travel and less cumbersome hobbies so a change of habitat is in the cards
  4. If you can’t get it from her, HAL does list all tender ports in the itinerary on their public pages. Simply search for your cruise there and click through for the full itinerary
  5. This is a case where I would not rely on the cruise line to make a decision. Read the Oceana boards, it has been a study in poor corporate oversight. I would not consider sailing into a zone of active conflict.
  6. My TA’s office invoice is fairly meaningless. It is simply a record of payments.
  7. I only included about 20% of the invoice. It also includes all perks booked, itinerary, tender ports denoted plus a bunch of the most important contractual details, flight ease details, payment schedule, cancellation fees , insurance and more.
  8. That is the official HAL invoice. I get both my TA’s invoice and the HAL. As a matter of fact I asked her to quit sending me the office copy because the HAL invoice is jammed packed with so much information. You should ask your TA to send you that copy just so you can see the amount of information
  9. Call, it will be part of your booking. Dining seating requests can be done also. If you have a TA she can do this for you. but first, check your invoice carefully as it should state what was originally requested
  10. I, personally, would not say anything to someone. I don’t think I have that responsibility. It is up to the person to gauge the appropriateness of their dress and of course, up to the personnel to check anyone who is failing to maintain the standards. I am not aware of any restrictions on bathing suits. the questions was “”how do you feel…”
  11. Simple enough, bring it, wear it and if she feels uncomfortable then wear another suit. I would hope no one would be rude enough to negatively comment to another guest about their appearance
  12. I refuse to leave any money. If nothing else go to the shops and buy chapstick😀. Anything extra can be left for the crew too. It gets put into the crew pool
  13. I wouldn’t do anything permanent. There are now color depositing conditioners you can bring with you which do a great temporary job plus condition your hair.
  14. I must be on the wrong cruises😊. I only get a refund if we miss a port. Some cruise lines do not refund fees for missed ports.
  15. It is the obsession. No mention of fruits and vegetables being not fresh. Please notice the amount of threads that occur on CC in relation to food. Not just about gluttony but the picking apart the minutiae. I must have been wrong and you right as I told my companions that food is not that significant, obviously it is.
  16. I assume you want to buy OBC since your cruise is paid in full. If that is the case go to manage my cruise and purchase OBC or do as @richwmn suggested and call them
  17. That wasnt the gist of the conversation. I was trying to be a bit polite but that went over like a lead balloon. Let’s rephrase to what was said - food obsession
  18. And there the food obsession rears its ugly head.
  19. I don’t think one needs to be a foodie nor even concerned about the culinary experience to thoroughly enjoy a cruise. If there is a decent salad bar and fresh fish I am pretty happy
  20. Pinnacle is always prime beef. MDR is a grade below, still good but not prime. You can get a bad cut in either grade. When we get a bad cut we send it back for a better cut. Always try to get a center cut. On exception is the prime rib, DH loves that crusty end piece.
  21. I would like to see them in the western Caribbean and Texas but that is simply for my personal convenience
  22. HAL needs to have a new release page on their website. It is very difficult to discover new itineraries unless you have a time or region specifically chosen.
