  1. Just curious are you on the 4 night or 3 night?  If you are on the 3 night you will debark at T18 which has facial recognition.  But the 4 night MAY debark at T19 which is face to face ( no facial) and that is where the lines build.  If at T19, I would plan to self assist and get off early.  T18, take your time....

  2. It varies from port to port it seems.  The only priority at Port Everglades is Suites/Pinnacle and Key.  Other than that is depends on your check in time.  Both Harmony, Odyssey, Vision and Liberty all start boarding around 11:00ish.  If you look at the benefit page, there is no more priority boarding listed for any tier except Pinnacle.

  3. Since you mentioned that you will be sailing a 3 night in March out of Port Everglades ( Ft. Lauderdale), I assume you will be sailing on the Liberty.  Please note that upon arrival after your cruise, that those with passports will go thru Facial Recognition and those with birth certificates will have a separate line with face to face with Customs.  The line is usually very long, so I would time it that you group gets off as early as possible to avoid the very long BC line.  ( I work at the port and Liberty is one of the ships I work with)

This looks like it was from a decade ago (written on a typewriter, not a computer printer?)!

I'm on Oasis right now and the letter from the Diamond Concierge explicitly states that people who are not Diamond are NOT allowed in the lounge.  On Symphony last week, the letter said the same exact thing.  And on Explorer the week before that, the letter said the same exact thing.

All of those extra keys are for minors.  Adult keys do not have the "family" in the backround.

One comment about terminal 25. We took a Celebrity cruise out of there a couple years ago. While the terminal was good and the surface parking very close, it was a madhouse trying to get out of there. They only had one attendant to process payments on the way out. It was a total mess. Not sure if that was a one-off or if it was normal for 25.

Now they have automatic machines,  You insert your ticket and then your credit card.  No more "person" in the booth!!  They do have a call box in case of an issue.

I retired from Port Everglades before the Oasis Class ships were introduced.  However, I believe Terminal 18 is the primary terminal for Oasis Class ships.  I've cruised out of there twice on Oasis Class ships and both times it was Terminal 18.  I believe terminal 18 is dedicated to Royal.  But, they do have availability of at least one other terminal, I think it is terminal 25.

Oasis class ships will always sail out of Terminal 18 due to their size.  Terminal 25 is primarily for Celebrity ships.

That is an excellent point about PR birth certificates and it isn't brought up often. But this is an application of local law versus Federal law. Puerto Rico basically invalidated any birth certificates issued before a certain date due to rampant fraud. If anyone is using a Puerto Rican birth certificate they should definitely research it more.

It needs to be issued January 2010 or later and those BC's are blue in color.

Why can't the question be answered?  Why does the poster not call RCCL and ask this question?  Why do people think a school issued ID is not government?  Is not a school run by a Government?

Royal accepts for closed loop cruises for those 16 + with birth certificate a State issued driver's license or ID, Student ID, or Military ID.

I haven't cruised since February and there has been a lot of other travel since then, so I'm just looking for someone to refresh my memory.  I know they are doing staggered scheduled boarding times now.  Does that apply to and do they really stick to it with Diamond Plus and Suite guests? Sailing Allure out of Port Everglades.

I work at Port Everglades.  As of now, we allow Suites ( Jr. included) and Pinnacle entry through the suite door.  Since the restart and the arrival times,  there is no special line to enter the terminal, check in or seating for D+..  Boarding will start with Star, Suites/Pinn then Key, then it will be in the order that you arrived upstairs.  As far as enforcing arrival times, it really depends on the amount of people curbside. If you arrival time is noon and you arrive at 10:30, you will wait until the earlier groups enter and then if space allows, they will allow you entry into the terminal.  Once boarding starts you will check in and go straight onboard.  Hope this helps!

  10. This is directly from the Royal Website.

For all sailings departing on or after March 11, 2022, a Certificate of Recovery, for a positive COVID-19 case at least 11 days before boarding but no more than 90 days ago, may be provided in lieu of a pre-cruise COVID-19 test result to board the ship if it meets certain requirements. However, certain ports (listed below) will not permit guests to go ashore using a Certificate of Recovery. The following two documents must be presented:

    1. A certified medical health certificate from a doctor stating that you have fully recovered from COVID-19. It must meet the following requirements:
      • Official letterhead from a healthcare provider, public health official or telehealth provider showing:
        • Their name
        • Their address
        • Their phone number
        • Confirmation of your recovery and completion of isolation
      • Must be typed (not handwritten) and signed by the provider
      • Must confirm the sample collection date of the positive PCR test, which must be a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise
    2. A positive result document for a COVID-19 PCR test taken a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise. An antigen test result will not be accepted with a Certificate of Recovery. The test results document from your test provider must include the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your positive result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “positive” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document.

They extended the mask mandate another 2 weeks...that means at least 4 more weeks of getting cussed out at work multiple times a day. I booked myself an emotional support cruise listening to beach music sobbing 🙃😭🚢

Bright side....Adventure OTS in 62 days and now Grandeur OTS in 354, after Grandeur I will level up to Emerald status (yay). I am also almost 2 months sober fabulous!!

    Keep on swimming right? ❤️🐠❤️

Congrats on your Sobriety!!  That in itself is enough to celebrate.  As far as the mandate I feel your pain.  I work in a federal building and 10-12 hours a day in that mask is a killer.  Keep on swimming!!  You got this girl.

On the Odyssey last month out of Port Everglades it did not matter. We had an 1100 and when we went upstairs the place was packed. Once they started boarding it went by the seating sections that filled first. Did not matter what boarding time you had. First come first served. (Other than suites and the Key)

It is not a boarding time it is an check in/ arrival time.  See example below:Register with Royal Caribbean, Check-in on the App & Get Your SetSail Pass - Ignite Cruises Help (FAQ)

We have one person in our party of six who is unvaccinated. I see that you may do cruises from FL without a vaccine (as long as there is not a stop in Bahamas). Wondering what the on-board experience is like, from anyone who may have sailed in this manner. Thank you

That changed back in Sept 2021.  Everyone 12+ must be vaccinated or get a vaccine exemption, which is very hard to get.
