  1. Those posters that don't mind the cutbacks of on board loyalty credit are probably not in the highest category to have it make any difference. It was a nice gesture to have Princess show their appreciation for our loyalty although eliminating it along with all the other cutbacks make us consider other cruise lines even more. I just learned about the elimination of the most traveled luncheon for 4 day cruises. I suspect there might be more cutbacks yet to come.
  2. And you thought though their pumpkin pie was great? If so, they really must have changed their supply venders.
  3. I agree that they should ship Medallions everywhere but even with the larger numbers now being shipped out it, means a shorter lineup at the terminal for those that have to pick them up.
  4. After 5 minutes in the casino or cigar bar, anyone can tell. 😉
  5. I'll bet it beats Princess's pecan pie hands down. (hard and crunchy) 😖 Enjoy.
  6. My local Walmart neighborhood market has 2 self service scanners that will not work using the card chip & I have to swipe my card each time after trying it 3 times.
  7. Stick with Princess long enough and they'll find more ways to cut costs and disappoint you.
  8. I always order it thinking that someday it'll improve but it goes in the trash every time. It's like they saw it in a picture somewhere without any recipe and tried to create what they though would be OK. Sad, because it really isn't that hard to make.
  9. If you happen to stop by the buffet tomorrow, check if they're serving carved turkey. Not turkey breast, but the whole bird. Thanks
  10. Not really. I've been doing it for quite a while now & never had one problem, except someone once sat at my table not knowing I left the bag there to hold it. 😄
  11. That's what I use during the day. It also holds my lounge chair by the pool and a seat at the buffet when I get my food.
  12. Try using an RFID wallet or piece of aluminum foil to keep your medallion wrapped in. 😉
  13. That use to be the way Princess did things it but it appears that there's been another cutback and they've eliminated it. It also applied to the top 10 couples (20 people), not the top 40. At the rate they're going, pretty soon it might be for only the top three.
  14. Why not give it a try for a few days to see if you prefer it or not? You might be surprised just how convenient it is to use. She could always carry it in many different ways other than a lanyard near her pacemaker.
  15. What you say is correct but at the same time I don't think Princess wants to be known as one of the most formal mass market cruise lines out there. I believe they're the last holdout that hasn't relaxed their dress code on formal nights. (officially) Maybe they should rewrite their policy to reflect actuality? In the mean time we'll be enjoying their new style of requirements.
  16. That's typical of most events in the piazza. You have to plan it way ahead for it in the evening. Thanks.
  17. How was the show in the Piazza? What time was it?
  18. My husband did the same thing with his ties. I can still see the smile on his face as he tossed them. 😁
  19. We attended 4 or 5 times and there was a minimal crowd. The food wasn't a big attraction at all. Nothing that you couldn't order in the DR.
  20. They'll quickly learn. I suspect we'll see a turn to the more casually dressed folks in another year or so after the newbies realize they don't have to stuff their suitcases with the formal clothing just to please others for 2 hours or so on a formal night.
  21. Looking back at the minimal attendance on the Enchanted last spring, they'll probably let anyone in although not give them discounted drinks. Of course you can pay for your daughter & sil. 😉😉
  22. Just about anything is now allowed on formal evenings in the DR. Even a jacket & tie seem to be taking a back seat to a pair of Dockers & Polo shirt. Lots of men like the more relaxed mode of dressing while still enjoying the better food in the DR. The women have always had it easier to conform, wearing a pair of slacks with any dressy top. My husband just bought a pair of black jeans for our next for our next formal nights cruise. Don't let that stop you from dressing up, if you feel the need.
  23. There doesn't seem to be anything left to ban lately which might offend somebody. Even the peanut butter cookies are only available by special request. 😕 I've got a bunch for our next cruise.... ready to stick up over our cabin door. We'll probably be the only cabin within sight so it should be easier to spot from a distance. 😄
  24. Yes it is and unofficially it's been OK in the evenings also, on casual nights is you so choose.
