I know the frustration but when it does work on the ship it's a nice feature. I like having lunch at the buffet & ordering one of their desserts or a drink to be brought to my table. The location feature has also improved considerably since the start of the medallion system.

Perhaps your kids are better than most but the stewards we've encountered would prefer not to deal with them if they were given a choice. It sounds like you've inspected those cabins of people who travel with kids. 😄 All I can say is that those nearby cabins in complete disarray I've seen on my cruises are those with children and no matter what gratuities are assigned for them, the stewards dread cleaning up after them.

I can only imagine what the cabin steward thinks at the beginning of the cruise when he sees a bunch of kids arriving in his section. 😒

That's the way it used to be but on the Enchanted they only showed it once on MUTS never to be seen again (even in the cabin)

We have never paid a corkage fee on Princess. We also have never had our wind held when returning to the ship at any port. (it's almost as though you have to make them take it from you). When going to dinner we just pour a healthy glass and carry it to the DR with us. Considering the amount of wine in a Princess pour these days, it's equivalent to about 1 1/2 glasses of wine each.

Most of the movies shown on MUTS are not very new. If your a movie buff, you might be a little disappointed in their selections. Also, they aren't shown in the cabin like they used to do in the past. If you miss it being shown on MUTS, you're out of luck.

From what I've seen in some cabins when passing by, there are some people who almost require a butler to pick up behind them constantly. Their cabin are in total shambles with clothing thrown about & it's almost impossible to see the desk top. They must live like that at home also. I can only imagine what the bathroom looks like. 💩

I'm certain they give the steward other jobs to occupy their time, like cleaning for Covid.

So I've read from previous posts. It's one of the main reasons we avoid aft cabins.

Maybe they are one in the same. 😄

We had the steward just turn down the bed. Cleaning the bathroom didn't seem necessary more that once a day.

I sort of doubt it. The designers are one category and the workers scurrying to fix an ongoing problem have got to be a different group.

The items you listed are our least concern except for the food and that's subjective to each individual. Good luck on Celebrity, not that they're that bad either.

With all these people leaving Princess, it looks like the ships will be sailing near empty very shortly. 🙄

It's possible in the near future. I'm sure all the cruise lines are watching very closely.

From all the reading I've been doing it appears that a crew shortage (on Princess as well as other cruise lines) might be the problem to having Planks in operation. I doubt if it'll be corrected anytime soon.

They've had this soot problem for a while on the Royal class ships. I'm really surprised they didn't change the air flow design for the Majestic to help alleviate it.

It's understandable since there's no much they can do to stop it and the chance of fire is really a minimum at most. What I don't comprehend are people with a Covid cough wanting to aggravate the situation even more by smoking.

I beginning to believe that some of them don't understand the concept of wearing a mask and only do so because they've been told to. 😉

For all those people who are into recycling, now they can take the Medallion apart & recycle that battery. 😁

Why would anyone go to a restaurant wearing a mask?

A true 14 day trip is much better but compared to being on a Royal class ship beats it any day.

I haven't seen those on Princess. Must be something new.
