  1. Are there cruise lines that sell the same cruise at the same price without it going up or down?
  2. "WORSE cruise now as they took Lahaina off the itinerary." I'm glad you clarified that point because I was wondering what the quote above meant. Many of us have dealt with price changes and deleted ports. I have. Nobody likes it. You have probably noticed that cruise lines aren't the only company that raises and lowers prices.
  3. What I plan to do for our next cruise, maybe in Aqua on a Japan cruise, is get a quote from TA before getting on board, then get a quote while on the ship, which we have never done. And compare which has the better price and which has better OBC. If not a big difference, I could see a benefit to keeping the booking with Celebrity. I could see us checking out other cruise lines if they include OBC, maybe Princess? I don't see us doing Regent or Oceania or Azamara right now as even though some of them are all included, we don't always book suites.
  4. Thanks. It’s not a problem, as long as they serve hot dogs in Luminae.
  5. Are you using some kind of price tool or are you checking manually every day?
  6. Wait a minute. You mean the restaurant on the ship I just booked is NOT a Michelin three star restaurant? Maybe I should have asked first. In the age of YouTube there is no reason to not know what you booked.
  7. The only variables are yes/no. Either Celebrity still gives OBC on some cruises or they do not. Either TAs still give OBC on some cruises or they do not. I am not making a statement of what TAs/Celebrity are doing. I’m asking a question as my understanding was that there is no more OBC from anyone. I think the answer is (???) that BOTH are still giving OBC under certain circumstances.
  8. “You would be forgiven for thinking….” Do people not bother to research the ships they sail on?
  9. I said TAs are not giving OBC but Celebrity is question mark. How much OBC are they giving (is it) question mark, referring to Celebrity.
  10. They are a window. That opens. What misconception?
  11. UK passengers still have a choice. They can choose to pay more for a veranda/balcony. They may not like it but that’s a choice. They can also “choose” to sail on another cruise line.
  12. Are Aqua class bookings getting any OBC from Celebrity? And how many shares must you buy?
  13. So is there any benefit to using a TA for my next cruise? Because I understand that TAs are no longer giving OBC but Celebrity is doing that? How much OBC are they giving? Is it per day or does it depend on the cost?
  14. Well why pay for an inside cabin on the inside when you could pay twice that to have an outside cabin with a window on the outside?
  15. I think you may have missed the point of the post. Do you enjoy the window in your inside cabin? You know, the one that opens?
  16. I get it! It’s “premium” because you can open it.
  17. Congratulations! You now have a $5000 inside cabin.
  18. Well I knew it was successful when they scrapped all the other ships that don’t have IVs.
  19. So you think I should not decide for myself when I should be on my balcony? Maybe I like rain? If it’s a hurricane the ship shouldn’t be sailing in the first place. Can I come to your house and install a switch to let me remotely control your windows? Since it’s not really an issue?
  20. I would disagree with you on that. You didn't control whether or not you had outside air. The captain did. I'd be happy to book an IV if it cost less than a similar balcony (sorry, non-window) cabin.
  21. Good news! Our TA is swapping our booking for a Penthouse suite. Because it’s cheaper than Aqua. 😂
  22. I’ll see what the travel agent says. I get slammed for not spending more or wanting to spend less. You can’t please everyone. And yes I plan things. It’s what I get paid to do. Now leave me be so I can decide when I’ll be eating lunch in 10 months.
  23. I’m not saying I’d switch TAs. I am not saying that’s possible. It’s a question not a statement. I think my TA might not be giving me all my choices. To me this should be as simple as telling the TA that I want to change and she changes the booking. In future I can see it would be easier and cheaper to book Aqua then make a small move up bid if we really want a SS.
  24. Solarium? Casino? Bars? Read? Art Auctions?
  25. Oh I did do a mock booking. That’s why I wanted to check prices with the TA again. I’ve done 5-6 cruises and I’ve never had any trouble making changes before. But I’ve never tried to go from suite to something else. I tried a mock booking on the TA site but I’m not getting a specific price for Aqua. I’d have to wait for a quote.
