  1. Yes, that’s the detailed cancellation policy. Believe the question was if a GC would be different than paying cash, in case of cancellation. Thank you for posting the details.
  2. Should have them at Gelato on deck 5. Swirls on Lido deck. Not sure where else.
  3. No the cancellation policy stands. The exception is, if you bought insurance and had to cancel due to medical or if you bought CFAR cancel for any reason insurance. That’s what is being discussed here.
  4. True. Many times we’ve had our luggage go on a separate trailer truck and straight to the baggage handlers and on the ship. So, OP needs to hear from someone on a Rome transfer guest boarding in Civitavecchia.
  5. Have you taken it through security in Civitavecchia? I’ve not boarded there on a PCL transfer. Not sure if their scanners are big enough.
  6. Add: RC Reserve Class (formerly CC Club Class) CC Cruise Critic or Credit Card or Club Class (old) DRO Director of Restaurant Operations (formerly Maitre’d) OM Ocean Medallion TP Transpacific or Toilet paper (😆) SOBC Stock OBC MOBC Military OBC UG Upgrade CVP Cruise vacation planner (formerly PVP Private or Princess vacation planner) On and on ….. BTW, I’m happy with these, because it’s a lot faster than spelling everything out. You can figure out what it means, by the sentence context. Well, usually. 😀
  7. Sounds difficult, since normally your bags on a transfer are delivered to the stateroom. I’ve never received bags that late. I would suggest.. take a carryon with you to checkin yourself with a change of clothes, sleepwear, etc. You could tell your steward that you’re going to retire early and if your bags are very late, just set them inside your door.
  8. I’m surprised that you will have much time there after your tour. But, it is a big industrial port, not really a touristy port. Not much to do, just a few craft type stalls at the port and there was a duty free shop. Remember, it can be extremely hot, so you may want to bring water, snacks and dress accordingly. I would not recommend going into town there or venturing off on your own with a taxi. It’s not the safest of an area. Have you read this link? It’s informative. https://www.whatsinport.com/Colon-Cristobal-Pier.htm
  9. They may be working the bidding upgrades. Put in your bid or just recheck again to look at availability.
  10. And that’s how it is supposed to work on Princess. Others have reported this was also their experience.
  11. You’re so right! We had a great time and the crew was awesome! We were on her for 6 weeks. The cruise is what you make of it.
  12. You might look through the Florida departure thread on cruise critic. If yiu don’t see what you’re looking for, just post your question. There are a lot of locals, who give great information on those threads. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  13. We were asked once in FLL if we had a QR code. I said yes and showed him. Okay, he still checked passports and OM and away we went. They have asked to see the QR code in Barcelona too. Only 2 times out of about 14 cruises.
  14. I agree with @Lady Arwen…get a CVP or TA. They will take care of these issues for you. You should not have to waste time on the phone. The agents that are offshore, seem to be there to take orders for beverage packages and to upsell products.
  15. Yes, and unless it’s been refurbished, that was the way they were back then. However, we liked the Coral MDR midship 6, the staff was great and the DRO was very helpful in getting us a table we liked. We chose the midship because of convenience, we were in a mid fwd cabin. We had an early seating, so it was easy to find a 2 top private table. We liked it and the staff and asked on the way out to be seated there for the rest of our cruises on b2b’s. No problem.
  16. You don’t say how far out you are, but they don’t always open all the MDR for reservations. Usually, they open 2 of them and closer to sailing, maybe all 3. We were on CB for 6 weeks and all the MDR’s were DMW, like Anytime, including the Palm. But, we easily picked a MDR, same time, same table for 2, so it was like TD in the midship, deck 6. So, I would pick whatever I could at this point and change it later as they should open another one. If you’re close to sailing, then they may be full. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the Dir of Restaurant Operations when you get OB, if you want to change your MDR. The Palm was the least crowded, so many decided to dine there. So it all works out.
  17. That’s terrible. I would never use a GC on X then. Even if you have insurance CFAR?
  18. Probably just the App. They aren’t even shown as restaurants on any of the ships. Princess restaurant guide. I’ve not seen them open since the restart.
  19. As long as the website looks correct. Don’t worry. Have a great cruise!
  20. Could you stock broker combine these accounts? Make it 100 shares owned jointly?
  21. Of course, if the website says this, then you may have been upgraded or your cabin changed. The baggage handler can pull it up for the cabin, or if you are carrying on your luggage, check with the PCL rep.
  22. Sometimes within 24 hours of sailing there are glitches. Just go in the website and make sure your booking, cabin, etc all looks good. That’s another reason to print out your travel summary, in case of a problem.
  23. Yes, same MDR, just a different entrance for seating. 😊
  24. What MDR deck does X use embarkation lunch for concierge class? Or, does it vary?
  25. Or, make a bigger area for the coffee. We like the light lunch offerings at the IC, What is coffee currents? Maybe that will take some of the coffee crowds away from the IC?
