  1. I’m a fairly regular customer too, not as many as you though. Still it would be good to provide feedback, otherwise how are things going to improve? I always try to be fair when reviewing anything. I would praise many aspects of our recent cruise, but would also draw attention to the less than satisfactory elements.
  2. Most people in Welsh Wales couldn’t give a hoot about it! I’ve been around mid Wales this past week visiting some clients and to be honest, the only visible sign of anything is a few charity shops who have put together some half hearted displays of red, white and blue second hand clothing! I think Gwynedd council only received one application for a street party and that is in Barmouth - another area full of caravan sites!
  3. And my plan is to ignore the telly for the whole weekend!
  4. My email states: You can use your exclusive offer on as many P&O Cruises holidays as you’d like, as long as you book by 30 June 2023.
  5. There were craft classes on our Ventura 35 nighter and they were varied and very enjoyable. Cost peanuts too. We learnt some techniques such as Zentangle, bead making, ink blending, etc. They were held on the sea days, morning and afternoon, with the afternoon lesson being a repeat of the morning one. Some projects extended over 3 lessons.
  6. Well we were on the jam packed half term cruise so that might account for the service situation! We thought that the food on Iona compared well with our previous cruises. Our last pre-Covid cruise was Ventura 35 nights Jan 2020 and we had lovely food on that. We might just have been unlucky with cold food in the MDR last week, but the buffet was definitely disappointing,
  7. Great review. Glad you had such a good time,
  8. I don’t know about puzzling, but we speak as we find. Level of service on Iona on February was low, but the food was very very good, Level of service on Britannia last week was very very good, but the food was lacklustre. It’s all very well saying that passengers can use speciality dining if the food isn’t to their liking, but that means incurring additional charges which we don’t mind doing now and then, but would definitely not have done when the 3 children cruised with us. We’re not fussy eaters, but cold or lukewarm food is simply not good enough and should be easy to rectify.
  9. They’re sending promotional emails, but what about a feedback questionnaire?
  10. I just can’t understand why it’s so hit and miss across the whole fleet.
  11. I got the email this afternoon. Only difference that I would have to book by 30 June. That’s not going to happen! In fact, I’m cancelling our next cruise before the final balance is due.
  12. As I said, it can be done, but doesn’t always happen.
  13. That’s good to hear. I’d like to know how they get it so right at times and get it so wrong at other times!
  14. And what if singles go on cruises to meet other singles?! They might not even be in their own cabin.
  15. No glass holders in our bathroom on Britannia, but there were two glasses!
  16. Easier said than done. We mentioned to the staff in the buffet several times that food was lukewarm. Made no difference!
  17. I think it was also mentioned that there is a wider selection in order to entice passengers from the MDR.
  18. Go to bed at midnight. Seriously, patience is a virtue. We’re never in a rush to embark or disembark for that matter.
  19. This was the amuse-bouche to share. Breadsticks, salted peanuts and some sort of pesto mix.
  20. Well yes, but you can still do all of that in a leisurely fashion. It’s a marathon, not a sprint!
  21. Depends whether or not you get a questionnaire! We’ll see. If we do, I will state exactly as above. Good entertainment, good service, good staff, poor food,
  22. That’s rather unfair. Nothing wrong with people expressing their disappointment. We’re definitely not moaners - we’ve always enjoyed every cruise, but the food offering on Britannia last week was underwhelming to say the least. Other aspects were very good though.
  23. Limelight was the only speciality restaurant we used and the meal was better than the MDR. This is what we had - my husband’s chicken was very plain and the dessert was rather bland. We definitely had a better meal in the Limelight on Iona.
