  1. I spend a lot on board and I’ve never seen anything like this. I suspect it’s more people that have done a couple cruises but have nothing booked. Or possibly people that used to cruise a lot with hal but haven’t lately. I’m willing to bet these offers are not going out to people that have multiple hal cruises booked that aren’t going to the casino.
  2. I’ve actually found Hal’s shorex to be more reasonable the last few years. Not talking about hmc though.
  3. The food was truly horrible at that time. At least the food is light years better, or it was until this newest menu.
  4. I've never seen an upsell before final. I they are very far out the cruise must not be selling well.
  5. I’m having a hard time believing the labour shortage. On my last cruise I had zero problems getting any time I wanted at any specialty restaurants. If there was no staff I would have thought a reservation wouldn’t be possible.
  6. It costs a lot to of money to go through the Panama Canal. That is why the port charges are so high.
  7. That’s why it was so cheap 😛😂😉.
  8. Yup me too. If we were docked it would be a different story but I still wouldn’t buy the playhouse. Thanks for providing pricing from other lines. It’s eye opening.
  9. It's not a Mariners deal. Plenty of us high Mariners never see anything of the sort
  10. Is that recent? Hal is able to accept credit cards just like anyone. I think hal will take money from almost anyone.
  11. I've said it a ton of times, the seafood soup, veggie risotto and osso bucco are delicious. 2 of those items are gone. I just wish they would stop getting rid of good dishes for mediocre. Same goes for the tamarind. I've never been to Italy and my heritage is not Italian and I don't expect Canaletto to deliver on either one of those
  12. Yup the playhouses are ridiculous. I guess if they don't sell they may be cheaper on subsequent cruises.
  13. I don't understand why people think canaletto should be a 5 star italian dining experience and we should all be charged through the nose for it.
  14. I don’t ever remember the beach villas being the cheap. Was that on carnival? I remember them being $7 to $8 hundred. They are selling the playhouses for $699. I wouldn’t pay $100 for one. The villa is actually quite nice in comparison.
  15. Because you are already paying for a meal. I don’t usually sleep in the grocery store so the comparison baffles me. I don’t get free cruises so I pay dearly for mine. If they can’t makes a very good profit on what I pay they should stop sailing. On my last cruise there was plenty of availability in all the specialty restaurants so that’s telling me that people aren’t willing to pay those prices. This is coming from someone that eats primarily in specialty restaurants.
  16. The only time I’ve heard of those prices was on the transatlantic. I don’t imagine it hurt them to much because a number of people probably have drink packages.
  17. I would be shocked if anything compared to the food on land unless you are going to McDonald’s 🤪. That said it’s probably quite a bit cheaper. Probably McDonald’s would easily beat dive in.
  18. I'm interested in this cruise but you just seem so upset with everything. It just doesn't seem like your cup of tea. I constantly hear digs at "old people". If people are lucky they'll live as long as I have.
  19. I rarely eat the pasta. It means nothing to me if it's fresh or not. I don't think you can really judge a restaurant on one visit with items I would not pick. Sometimes when I see what people suggest is so good, I'm wondering what they eat. That said, I'm not expecting someone's Italian grandmother to be making my meal.
