  1. The chef table on Princess is much different than the one hal used to do. I feel the Princess one was more upscale. It was pretentious having to be interviewed for the Princess on when I did it several years ago.
  2. See the attached link for club orange info https://www.hollandamerica.com/content/dam/hal/inventory-assets/activity-types/dining/club-orange/Club_Orange_Benefits.pdf
  3. Really enjoyed your review. Have a pleasant flight home. Looking forward to your final thoughts.
  4. There are the specials from a few years back. It seems a number of them are still in play
  5. Here is info about the cabanas. Pricing is still valid though this is a few years old. https://rogerjett-photography.com/here/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/HAL-Cabanas.pdf
  6. Yes there are lido cabanas to rent on the eurodam. For sure the orange party is casual.
  7. It's the normal upsell number. You do not have to go through your pcc. It doesn't have to be in steps necessarily. I went from an Oceanview to a Neptune Suite on my last cruise. I only saw the upsell for the balcony but when I phoned they told me about the Neptune.
  8. You should still be able to see it. Your ta should be able to print off a proper copy.
  9. But that's to do with the class of cabin you book. It's not open to everyone so it's not the same unless things have drastically changed
  10. That's mostly true except for embarkation and possibly days when the ship arrives later in port. It was my experience that for a long time after the start up the mdr wasn't open on embarkation day.
  11. No one like lines 😛😉. That’s a hard one to answer. I suspect that you’ll be better off with the club orange but you many not be. I’ve heard a number of stories on here about people being successful switching to fixed once on board (not people with club orange necessarily). I have no personal experience because I am no longer interested in fixed.
  12. Yes I understand. I’ve done the same. I’m speaking purely about going into the mdr. I don’t understand why there would be a separate line for club orange in fixed. Usually there isn’t even a stand there but it’s been a few years. I’ve found the club orange line at the front desk and shorex to be useless. I seem to get behind people that want to tell their life story to the person. More than once I’ve gotten out of that line into the regular line because it’s quicker.
  13. I don't understand the need for a club orange entrance if you are in the truly fixed dining floor. You would have an assigned table. I get they sometimes bring open dining into the fixed but I'm speaking purely fixed.
  14. That would be nice but I suspect it won’t happen. The absolute worst was when I went in one day and they had the express lunch. The best of the picks was the club sandwich which I don’t care for. I’m sure it was made hours before. To say I detest the lido is making it sound like I like it better than I do. I can’t stand all the people and people that can’t make their mind up on what they want on their salad. It’s not difficult. Then find a table.
  15. The op is asking about embarkation not disembarkation.
  16. The lunch menu I feel is limited. On my last cruise in April they had daily specials. I don’t know if that because it was a somewhat longer cruise but the specials appealed to me more.
  17. Many will tell you there isn’t I’m sure but there will always be people doing b2b. Like the previous poster said there could be a delay if you get it for lunch. It should be fine for dinner.
  18. It's just wrong to put fruit in salsa. Its salsa not a fruit salad.
  19. It should be. Unless something has changed they are considered the highest balcony. Thankfully they realized these were a mistake and didn't repeat them after the Eurodam.
  20. These are not the Juliet balconies. This is what the Juliet balcony looks like. Hopefully this works.
  21. I wouldn’t eat there unless there is crew serving it. I’ve heard/seen too many gross things.
  22. I had no idea the drinking age is 18 on cruises leaving from Europe. I'm glad you had a relaxing day after yesterday.
  23. It should be on the lower level so 4 in your case.
