Yes and no . In the fall yes , in the spring you are dealing with the Spring Break school vacations. Once again , certain cruise lines tend to be “ calmer “ especially on longer itineraries.

We try to avoid cruising during school vacations, there may still be a few kids , but not as many . You may also wish to try another cruise line such as Holland America or Virgin Cruises ( no one under 18 allowed. ) Viking also is adults only. It’s a matter of finding out what works best for you.

I have seen the OBC used for gratuities numerous times. They will automatically deduct it every day.

Absolutely the largest inside cabins , Thanks. The only downside is BB Kings Jazz lounge directly above , we experienced that on the. Zuiderdam a few years ago , if the music doesn’t bother you it’s great. In our case, my wife was unable to sleep because of the music , lucky for us there were other cabins available and the customer service and crew graciously relocated us at no extra charge to another cabin in an area that was considerably more quiet in the evening. I have noticed that retired / older people have more free time on their hands to travel / cruise. They also seem to have budgeted accordingly. With that said , I would not be in any hurry to chase them away, repeat business is the biggest business in the world . Someone’s mistake may end up being someone else’s gain.

To your point, remember before the advent of the drink packages, there was a beverage server every 4 feet asking if you would like a cocktail, now with all the prepaid drink packages you find yourself waiting in line at the bar to order a drink .

Thanks everyone for your replies. I contacted HAL today and requested an invoice showing our OBC. The gentleman HAL agent was extremely gracious and provided me with an updated invoice ( via email ) showing the OBC. I know I am a bit of a stickler, but I always feel better when everything is documented on the invoice.

Did you check with the rental company and ask if you could drop the car at FLL airport location ? Even if they charged a few bucks extra , it would be worth it. Fll is literally 5 minutes from port everglades. Cheaper and shorter cab ride for sure.

I know it’s a different situation, but I have booked directly with Celebrity for many years now , the moment I pay on the Celebrity website the charges show up in my pending charges, soon to be transferred to confirmed charges. Most likely you will be fine , I hope you have a great cruise 🚢

The fares are usually higher on the newer ships , just another money grab by RCCL.
