  1. Wow a very small family run winery. Probably not a place on the OP radar.
  2. Lol! Ok then “wine pourers” . Although you mention meaningful winery visit, imo that would be a place that has a wine educator not just someone who reads the tasting notes and tells you what flavors you will taste! Never had an issue with finding a place to taste during Harvest/Crush.
  3. Are you comfortable renting a car and doing it on your own? Not recommended if you want to drink a lot.. You could head to Sonoma Square where you can park the car and walk to tasting rooms and have lunch.
  4. We often visit Napa and Sonoma during crush. It is my experience that the Wine Educators in the tasting room are not the same people working in production. We go to the smaller wineries and rarely have a problem getting and appointment for tasting.
  5. It is required when entering Canada from another country. Depends on the itinerary. If Canada to Canada ports, my understanding is no.
  6. I have booked an 11:30 from LAX in Sept. Check back and I’ll tell you if we made it 😆. Other option was 3:30 pm. If we are off the ship by 8:30 with bags, we should be at LAX by 9:30. If worse comes to worse, then we go with undetermined Plan B.
  7. For our Sept 16 cruise on Solstice, we can do partial check in. But check in time is not yet available.
  8. Pack layers so you can bundle up while on deck. The west coast weather has been all over the place the last few months. I was in SF earlier this summer and it was 85, mid July in the low 60s. Oregon had a recent heatwave, where often it is cool. Check the forecast a couple of days before leaving home.
  9. Have a great cruise Abby and say Hi to Beth! Seems to be common for long luggage wait times at YVR, back in April we were off the plane and thru immigration very quickly, then the waiting began.
  10. If possible, test before leaving home on the 9th. That way if by chance you are positive, you are home and also no need to stress about where to test in Vancouver. Are you flying from SFO? I believe there is testing onsite or nearby. Also check out the Canada Cruiser travel board, there is a lot of info and really helpful posts/posters.
  11. Over at KoOlina where the Disney resort is, there a “secret lagoon” by Paradise Cove, you will almost always see turtles there, the snorkeling can be good depending on weather but you don't need to snorkel to see the turtles. This goes without saying but do not touch the turtles! The walking path at the lagoons is very nice (the lagoons are swimable) and agree with the suggestion for Monkeypod or Roys although neither have a view. House without a Key at the Halekulani in Waikiki is nice for a sunset mai tai and music. If you plan to dine off the ship, make reservations before you leave home!
  12. In the parking lot by Lowes, you can see them from the H1 freeway before you exit
  13. Closer to Honolulu, there are several food trucks at the Waikele shopping center. Which is also convenient if you are driving to the North Shore. Leonards Malasadas are my favorite
  14. My pre dinner snack. I think I’ll bring some potato chips next cruise!
  15. @ScottC4746 you mention the app says the MDR is open for lunch. When the ship is in port at lunch time, the MDR will not be open. The Aqua Spa Cafe is another option for Breakfast and Lunch.
  16. OBC is why I have purchased Apple products on board. Sure Costco has deals but when you have a lot of OBC and no place to spend it, why not 😆
  17. You can set up the account anytime. Trip info will be added later (72 hours prior)
  18. Agree with the Kalapaki beach and Dukes suggestions! No car needed. Make reservations at Dukes, perhaps a couple weeks ahead of time.
  19. I hope this is encouraging … Myself and several friends have all tested negative with antigen test around day 8 or 9. Don't bother testing on day 5 like I did, it was disheartening to see that red line. Best wishes for a great cruise.
  20. 200~sf is not much, some research ahead of time would have prepared you for the you “very small cabin”. If you need more space on an M or S class ship you should book the retreat for the larger cabin and bathroom for 2. Did you try the MDR since Blu was so disappointing?
  21. Sure can get it anywhere…DH recently had outpatient surgery, tested negative 2 days prior, didn't go anywhere after his test except the surgery center and tested positive 4 days after coming home. Hmm 🤔
