  1. We are cruising the Douro on the Viking Osfrid in Nov. 2024. We have a Veranda cabin. Viking doesn't show layout or photos of cabins on this ship, as they do on the Rhine and Danube Longboats. What are the cabins like? Anyone have photos, layouts, square footage?
  2. Last question before I leave for my cruise on Saturday, I promise. I made dinner reservations for the 2 specialty restaurants on Sirena. They were rather later than I usually do, because they were the earliest available. Now my cabinmate is concerned that we will miss the entertainment because of the timing. What time is the show on Sirena?
  3. They first offered me one in the mid deck but it was below the pool and cafeteria. Then there was one that was directly above the casino. The third one, which I took, was further aft but the decks above and below were all cabins, no public areas. This is my first experience with an inside cabin, so we’ll see how it goes! When I have a window or balcony, I haven’t minded being fore or aft. We shall see!
  4. Princess is the one that called it that. I never even knew of such a thing. I figured they were moving me over to another cabin. Thank you for your good advice! I thought I might just let my TA know since he wasn't copied on the offer, although he was referenced.
  5. I hope I am not too late. Initially I replied to the email. Then I saw the other email address I was to use. I guess I will know withing 24 hours one way or the other. Hmmmm... should I call my travel agent? This offer came directly from Princess.
  6. I figure with free, I can afford to hang in the Sanctuary every day!
  7. I just replied yes. I didn't know if there was a "gotcha", like you had to fight to get the check after the cruise, or had to make new air reservations. It sounded too good to be true, and you know what they say....
  8. I received an offer from Princess to move from my guaranteed balcony cabin to an inside cabin for a refund of 100% of the cruise fare in OBC. 9. On a wonderful RT to Hawaii on the Grand a half dozen years ago, there was a group called Knitters and Natters. We met on sea days to talk and do our crafts. One woman even brought her sewing machine! Another was a published author and expert on Lacemaking. We had the best time. Does Princess still have this group?
  10. 13 days out, and I don't know when the formal nights are. I have heard the nicest MDR meals are on formal nights, and I want to make sure I don't choose a specialty restaurant for that night.
  11. Yes. The price changed sometime before the next day. I found the same itin for the previouse price later in August. While I called my travel agent, it had already climbed $1000, then it went up another $1000 while on the phone. It was now in the $6000s and out of my price range. I was surprised how quickly the price changed. Dreaming of getting to L'Anse Aux Meadows someday!
  12. I guess I was just assuming that people were using the cruise company's websites, not travel agents. I think if I asked a travel agent about finding me low single supplements, I would never hear back! I also didn't think it would be a good idea to click "request a quote" on the same cruise company websites for every cruise I might be interested in.
  13. It's nice to see people getting these bargains, but could you please share where you found them, so that others of us can try to get them? When I looked at the Seabourn site it was over $9000 per person. And nothing about a solo rate.
  14. Thank you! We are scheduled for the Egdir on Aug. 28. Your post was most reassuring. Hope you had a great trip!
  15. This is the M class forum. Do you have a link to that spreadsheet instead of the S Class?

  17. Classic Beverages are included in my package. If I want to buy a $12 cocktail, what price am I charged? $3? $12? If I decide to upgrade to the Premium Beverages, how do I do it? The only option I see from the drinks screen is the $75/day one. Shouldn't there be an option just to upgrade? Thank you
  18. Plus it is all inclusive. Really. WiFi, shore excursions, gelato, specialty restaurants, wine and beer with meals, the thermal spa, etc. This is my first Celebrity Cruise, and I am astonished at all the add on costs. Maybe if you are in the retreat it is all inclusive. But for me, no.
  19. Viking is one. PCR lab onboard. Masks. Limited capacity pools, dining rooms, etc. No one on our cruise got it, although it is possible.
  20. There are cruise lines that require a negative PCR test, and do daily PCR testing. They are out there if you look.
  21. Hi! I saw an option to purchase a day or a week at the thermal spa and thalasotherapy pool (hereafter called the t-pool. Then I watched a video of the t-pool on the Millenium and it seemed to be part of covered pool area. Is the t-pool available to all? Or do I need to buy a pass to use it? If I manage to get moved up to AquaClass, does that change? Thanks for the help. First time on Celebrity, and I find some things so confusing. Like where do I choose traditional dining? All I see is select.
