So dinner was a much improved experience over last night. The pace of service was much improved. So was the over all service. I always enjoy the Beef tenderloin they serve on formal nights and it didn’t disappoint. DW had the cod and sadly she found it quite bland. However, they quickly offered to replace it. She chose to go off menu and have a curry. She gave it two thumbs up. Dessert was crème brûlée for me and it good. DW went with the cheese cake and she was pleased. Definitely a better experience than last night. Hanging in the Schooner now and that classic old fashioned was calling my name. Thanks @Sea Dog

It worked fine for me until she decided she wanted something last night s as free dinner and barista at 270 told her she had none left. 🤪 I had some explaining g to do.

Because I’m a team player… just for @Sea Dog I’d say it was a very generous pour.

Out of diamond drinks. Now using my bogo50% off DW complained when she went for a frappe after dinner and had to pay for it because I’d used up her Diamond drinks. 😂 I’ll wait till she goes to bed to start hitting her drinks.

Yeah I thought different too. I first tried it on Odyssey and was sure it was more different.

That’d be excellent. I’m going to try and hit up DSB all three nights. We’ll see what they do.

Update: from casino. After two hours I’m actually up $25.50 I had an odd thing happen to me in the casino. I’m still very much a novice and only play blackjack. While sitting at the cheap $10 table and down about $ I had one of the host come to me and suggest I play one of the higher dollar tables. I thought odd as it was only me he was addressing at a full table. I was bidding $20-25 at the $10 table. I’m not a big time gambler. He suggested the $50 table but I told him it was to rich for my blood. I was already down $300. Nobody was playing it so he said he’d lower it. I went over it was at a $25 minimum and sitting by myself quickly recovered my losses and ended up just over $25 up.

I meant to post this a couple hours go but didn’t hit send. Since I slept long last night I’m expecting a strong night tonight. It’s formal night so that’ll be another night in the MDR. They are on deck for tonight at 11. I should be able to stay awake. My best party days are beyond me but with a good sleep behind me and only moderate drink today I’m expecting to hammer down tonight.

Back at the pub for my new favorite drink the Boston Iced Tea. For those wondering it basically a Long Island ice tea.

So just a quick recap… Last nights dinner, while ok, was really slow. An hour three quarters to from start to finish. We had reservations thankfully and only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Those without reservations were in a massive line. I wouldn’t say it was a disappointing night it just wasn’t a night to remember. Because of the slow service we missed the early welcome aboard show so we decided to just walk around a little then head to the room to wait for the 10:00 show. I fell asleep about 930 and didn’t wake up till 9. I don’t think I’ve slept that long since I was very very young.

It was free today. I think they charge for see days. They call it an enhanced Northstar and hang the pod out over in he side of the ship. I’ll let you know what I see on a sea day

My favorite part of embarkation was when, at check in, she looked me strait in the eye and asked me if I was more than 23 weeks pregnant.
