You’d be fine I imagine. -

I don't remember if I had to but I didn't wear mine when I tried it. -

Yes -
Good score! I booked a 2 br GS on Navigator the day the itineraries were released and scored as well. Within a couple of days the same cabin, for four people, was over double what I booked it for. I stopped checking prices after they all sold out. The 1 br GS is still way more than what I got the 2 br for so I'm pretty sure, even if I did price out the 2 br, it'd be even higher.

chances are if you booked at a decent price a sold out category would price higher than you paid.

Are the times listed all aboard or departure?
Tree_skier replied to justjim9510's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have been late getting back to the ship twice... Both times I was on a ship sponsored excursion and they waited. That being said, I don't hesitate to book a non-ship excursion. I just make sure I have a little extra time between all aboard and the expected end of the excursion. If your are booking with a reputable excursion outfit I wouldn't have any fears. -
I mean it is possible that some cruise out into 2026 are filling up fast but I suspect that that is not the case. That being said, most pricing lately seems only to be going up. You're most likely going to get the best price the earlier you book.
-
I've also noticed a little softness in pricing for extra in the cruise planner. Things like the Cococay beach club and the water park, while not down to where they were just post covid, have definitely settled lower.

Specialty dining advice please!
Tree_skier replied to Mparker12's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Like @RFerrington said, go to one of the specialty restaurants immediately upon boarding. Book all your specialty dining right there. For the fastest service have a list of restaurants and times you would like to eat. Do this a quickly as possible. The longer you wait the more difficult getting the times and places you want will be. -

I'm not a Sushi eater so that makes the choice for me even simpler. I always enjoy both however, if I was going to restrict myself to just one I'd probably choose Jamies. If you are a steak eater the steak in Jamies is awesome so you get the best of both worlds. -
Removing pre paid gratuities while on the ship

I'm seeing that more and more in my area (CA home of the $20 per hour fast food wage). Hard pass from me. -
Is it easy cruising out of Galveston?

No Uber has worked fine for us in the past and although we have used other services the last time it is probably what I would use in the future. -
Just booked the Utopia for next year

I'd be curious too... We just had friends get back from a multi generational family cruise and all of them came back raving about the ship and service. -
The pub has some great snacks!

While they do sell out I would expect for you to see it again. My suspicion is that it was listed prematurely and will show up. Being sold out a year in advance seems unlikely to me.

Just back from Odyssey 8 night southern Caribbean.

I forgot that Sorrento's was right there as well. If I remember correctly that particular Sorrentos was pretty good too. -

The beauty of Odyssey is she has both. EDIT: And I like Odyssey's pub the best because they do great munchies unlike any other ship that I know. -
5. We ate lunch at both Giovanni's and Chops. On sea days I'd expect them both to be open. Check the app. Only one will be open on embarkation day I think. Edit: Scratch checking the app. I just checked the app for my December Oasis cruise and it showed that it was not open for any lunch. However, when I go into my cruise planner it shows that I can prebook lunch on day 1, 3, and 6 so I'd expect something similar for you too.

Wow, so sad! We were fortunate I guess. -

Oh that's to bad... I used them for our family cruise in Dec. They picked us up at Hobby Saturday night and dropped us off at our Galveston hotel no problem. They were waiting for us when we got off the plane. The next day they took us from the hotel to the port. They did indicate a range of times and were at the tail end of that range but we were still onboard by 11:00 am. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. -
Don't listen to the haters! Cats is awesome. If you aren't familiar with the story read the libretto before you board. Perhaps it'd make good reading while you are on your flight. It makes following the story while watching so much better. Fabulous costume and great singing and dancing.

I have usually used Uber or Galveston Express but last time I used. Highroller By Shugg. They had great communication and were more than reasonable with the price. -
Yes they are put on your sea pass card. I have bought them a couple of times on the last few cruises. We were traveling with grand kids. When you scan/slide your card the screen will read back to you the amount left. It save 20% to prebook. The only downside is if you don't use it, you lose it. No refunds for unspent amount.
