The saddest post of this thread. I’m all packed up and ready for tomorrow. I’ll head out a little later to the music hall for one last round of the house band Switched on Band. I just caught on that there initials are SOB. I can’t believe it took 7 days to catch that. Dinner this evening at Jamie’s Italian can only be described as a feeding frenzy. Dessert was the Pavlova, the Tiramisu and the Brownie shared by two of us. Prior to this cruise I had been really good on my diet. I had lost 17 1/2 lbs. I’m terrified to get on a scale. This evenings cocktails will be the Classic Old-fashioned. Thanks @Sea Dog for the recommendation. I am, most assuredly a convert. One last pic from the golden hour. We’ve docked in Victoria. She is showing ver well today. This is Victoria at her finest. I almost feel guilty not getting off at my home and native land. Not guilty enough to actually get off but a little bit guilty none the less.

Got this shot and then changed my mind about chilling on the deck went to Music Hall for DSB’s last show. Glad I did. They are mixing it up with all kinds of classic rock hits from the 80’s. Good decision!

My life is now complete

I’m really liking Solarium for breakfast now. It’ll be tough back on a Voyager class ship at breakfast time. it’s seems just so much more relaxed. I’m actually kind of taking it slow today as I want to finish strong. Just a Coke and and a couple pieces of pizza for lunch at Sorento’s. Then my last stint in the casino for a couple of hours. They shut down at 3 and won’t be opening back up after me leave Victoria. I went into the casino at the beginning of the week with $1000. I played primarily at $15 blackjack table but was usually betting $25. I spent one afternoon at a $25 table but that table went back to being the higher stakes table so I went back to the $15 table. I cashed in this afternoon for the last time and have $1165. Not bad for a noob. After that we went to the the theatre for a performance by the lead from last nights show. He did a collection big band numbers. He was excellent. We’re just chilling on our deck relaxing before dinner at Jamie’s tonight.

So far not but the day is young.

Sadly nothing, I just stuck to water last night. I really cooked myself while on deck yesterday and had a little heat stroke or something and was totally off last night. Second formal night was last night. Not as well turned out as the first night but still about 50% dressed up. I had my usual Beef tenderloin. It’s my favorite meal they prepare in the MDR. Dessert was the baked Alaska. Last night was the Beautiful Dream. What a great production. We both loved it. Sorry for the limited pictures from last night. Like I said previously, I was a little off. I feel fully recovered and am raring to go today.

I was going to take a cab to Tim Hortons just to get my fix of a Canadian Maple Donut and a large Timmy’s coffee. However, we’re staying in the Seattle area over the Labor Day weekend after the cruise for a conference. After that we’ll take a day to head up to Van to see family before making the journey home. I’ll get my Timmys then.

Yes much less. I hummed and ha’d over getting the UDP. Finally decided against it. We had it on odyssey for the first time back in February. It was just to much food. This has been a nice compromise. 2 dinners and 2 lunches. One of each at Jamie’s and one of each at Chops. One dinner in the solarium to add a little variety as well. It’s been a good blend for us. I think this will be our standard operating procedure going forward.

We will be staying on the ship. I’m former Vancouver resident. I’ve been to Victoria 1000 times. Our time there is right over the dinner period. I will be treating tomorrow like a sea day. If we had a whole day there we would do something. Just an evening stop isn’t enough to do anything I want to do.

We loved Serenade last year. I basically lived in the Centrum/R-bar.

There is a specialty coffee bar and a separate bar for any other kind of drinks.

No and the video just doesn’t do this singer justice. It does not come across as strong and powerful as it is. The guitar player is utterly phenomenal. His solo in “Separate Ways” was next level and mirror perfect from the original.

Excellent veterans appreciation get together. I would say it’s the best one that I have seen so far. Cruise Director Marc did an exceptional job.

I’ve never cruised on celebrity so I don’t really know anything about their ships. Last year we did Alaska on serenade which is a very small ship, but I still love the trip. Having all the extra entertainment options we have here on ovation is great but Alaskan cruises are really about Alaska.

Flight was 45 minutes.

I’m from California but originally from Canada. I’m loving it. When I get home the temp I’ll be slightly less than Hell.
