Perhaps it's an issue with the MSC US site? It seems like those in the UK have no issue.

Thanks for your reviews and posting this menu. It has been frustrating planning this cruise with so little information on the ship available. If you have other specialty menus available I would appreciate seeing them.

I'm on Euribia next week and have never had any specialty dining options appear in my cruise planner. I figured maybe because it was a new ship they hadn't figured it out yet and they would appear closer to sailing, but still nothing. Seeing it offered on later sailings makes me wonder if it's a glitch just for me.

Most of the advice I see regarding Yacht Club arrival times pertains to U.S. sailings where the entire ship must be cleared before boarding can begin. Does anyone know how this works in Europe, specifically Copenhagen, where only a portion of the ship is changing over? I have a 1 PM arrival time but intend to drop my luggage off by 10 AM. Would I be allowed to board the ship immediately or have to come back later?

No butler service or personal escorts at port on the Joy?
timf2001 replied to Sigyn's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
This page is referring to the non-Haven suites. Norwegian Joy is unique in that it has rooms classified as "Suites" that do not receive most of the normal suite perks. As long as you are in a Haven classified room, you will get all the usual benefits including a butler and port escorts. -
Buy 1 get 1 50% off Deluxe Drink package
timf2001 replied to new_cruzer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The only drink package sale that truly stands out these days is 30% off Deluxe Beverage Package. The BOGO 50% off (aka 25% off each) sale happens regularly once you are within a year of sailing. The only benefit to buying it early is you lock yourself in from potential increases to the base price, but personally I don't see the need to buy it before final payment barring a stand out sale such as what Black Friday used to be. -
If you start a mock booking, the system may lock the cabin out from being selected for a period of time so no else tries to book it while you are finishing your booking. You may be able to bypass the delay by changing the mock booking to a different cabin before closing your browser, but otherwise you have to wait for the hold to be released.

How early have you had GTY cabin assigned?
timf2001 replied to amby6063's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I booked a suite guarantee in January for May 2024. At the time there were several JS available and I thought I'd get a room assignment fairly quickly, but I didn't. Now all the suites are sold out, so it looks like the assignment won't come until close to sailing. -
Symphony- 9 Day Cruise Dinner Pkgs
timf2001 replied to Happytime22's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Dining packages other than 3 Night and Unlimited are a thing of the past. There used to be many more options, but those have not been offered in several years. -
I am booked on the 6 hour tour this August. Having done the extended train in Skagway before I'm expecting a similar experience, with a much longer scenic train ride as opposed to a simple round trip.

The biggest issue I have with Spirit is it's the oldest ship in the fleet yet since the refurbishment NCL is charging prices on par with the Prima class ships. It doesn't have Haven, the rooms are smaller, and it doesn't have the same variety of venues. For a similar price with perks you can sail on Celebrity Edge which does have all the modern amenities. Hopefully once they deliver the next couple Prima class ships they send one down under, then the price may be worth it. Incidentally when I was trying to price out the 2025 sailings it was telling me they are sold out, so I had to do my pricing comparison for 2024. I wonder if they're redeploying.

Size wise, Sky Suites are comparable to Junior Suites, while Celebrity Suites are comparable to Grand Suites. The big difference is you get the full suite in both on Celebrity, whereas Junior Suites on Royal have limited benefits.

Mason Jar reservation earlier than check in time
timf2001 replied to OrlandoTrio's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That looks like a placeholder reservation to me. You will pick the actual time once you board. -
Mello Yello Zero at Self Serve Coke Machines on Prima
timf2001 replied to Lupush's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You have to scan your Freestyle card. If you don't have a drink package you'll be charged the per drink price (around $4 I think). -
Mello Yello Zero at Self Serve Coke Machines on Prima
timf2001 replied to Lupush's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
The dispensers on Prima are just conventional bulk mix soda fountains with a touchscreen. They don't use the Freestyle cartridges that enable 100+ flavors. -
The only promo that comes and goes is the extra $50 OBC. They've been running that about every other weekend since Thanksgiving. The main promo runs continuously.

Do J3s on Odyssey still have 2 bathrooms?
timf2001 replied to mafig's topic in Royal Caribbean International
J3 has toilets in both bathrooms with a tub/shower combo in the full bath. J4 only has a toilet in the half bath, but has a walk-in shower separate from the tub. -
There were plenty of shade options in the Retreat on Edge last month, whether umbrellas or pergolas.

On my sailing there was an acoustic band that played there every night, with varying genres and musicians throughout the night. The music carried throughout the restaurant, and there were monitors so you could see them on stage. It's not at all what I expected Eden to be based on the original design, but it was one of my favorite venues on the ship.

I'm afraid you're out of luck. Your reservation only guarantees you being on board the ship for a set number of days. Entertainment, ports of call, or any other feature of the cruise are subject to change and the cruise line doesn't owe you anything if they change. Once you're within the penalty period you're subject to whatever fees apply if you want to change ships, dates or cancel completely.

NCL - Is this a deal or just marketing trick!
timf2001 replied to VelvetSkeeter's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You can only triple up if booking at least 6 months out. It's too late now to do that for June sailings. -
? about Guaranteed Cabins
timf2001 replied to Newbieflorida's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Does Royal Caribbean always wait until the last minute to assign GTY cabins, or can they assign them much earlier? I'm considering a suite GTY for May 2024 and with plenty of JS cabins available at the moment I wonder if the assignment would come sooner rather than later.
