  1. Do you know if both insurance companies will be off on a single incident? That has been the reason we have not purchased both cards.
  2. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. Not that many years ago we were on our first Regent cruise. We loved it so much we have never looked back, except for a couple of exceptions. We did Athens to Barcelona last fall on one of Regent's first cruises after the restart. Ports were changed, and ports were dropped, but we had a marvelous cruise nonetheless. Stay well. Bon voyage.
  3. We miss hearing from you guys! Lots more cruising ahead for you, even if no world cruise in the near future.
  4. UUNetbill: Why don't you take two aspirin and call me in the morning!!
  5. Which Regent World Cruise have you booked? We are booked on the 2024 and can't wait even though it is 1 1/2 years away. What we like so much about Regent is that we can begin booking our shore excursions 365 days ahead. This makes the cruise seem real 12 months earlier. Norma and Mitch
  6. Eroller: We sailed the Splendor in Europe last fall and there were few shore excursions to choose from. This was augmented by our missing several ports because of country-related Covid issues. Covid has put a real monkey wrench into cruise lines such as Regent planning unique shore excursions. They contract the tours months ahead of time, and months ago Covid was still causing lock downs. All of our pre-Covid cruises in Europe have been wonderful including really interesting excursions. Next summer we are doing the Great Arctic Adventure when we will travel through Europe for 78 days. Our only complaint with the excursions has been that Regent still is not providing an excursion to the Edinburgh Tattoo. A small problem since we can get our own tickets ahead of time. Glad you enjoyed your first Regent cruise and hope that it was the first of many.
  7. Buy them today on Amazon and return the other ones.
  8. They possibly will be in the Passages. Or you could find out from your butler, if you have one, or from the maitre d' in Compass Rose. If you are interested just ask around, there are lots of people who know about them. The wine lunches and dinners are wonderful. Because you are on a transatlantic there will be several of them. Also I would recommend hiring a car and driver for the day through the Regent shore excursion apps. It is a comfortable way to see Rio, in particular, and you can see a lot more than you will see on a group tour. The guide is there for you.
  9. You are correct. I ought to read more than the first paragraph! MIAMI, July 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) (the “Company”) today announced it will no longer require guests to complete pre-cruise COVID-19 testing unless required by local regulations. This policy will go into effect across Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH), Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises beginning August 1, 2022. The pre-embarkation testing requirement will remain in place for guests currently traveling on voyages departing from destinations with local testing regulations, including but not limited to the U.S., Canada, Greece and Bermuda. The relaxation of the testing policy is in line with the rest of the travel, leisure and hospitality industry worldwide as society continues to adapt and return to a state of normalcy. The Company continues to strongly recommend all guests be up to date on vaccination protocols and test at their convenience prior to travel.
  10. NCLH announced this morning that as of August 1, 2022 it will no longer require a negative pre-cruise Covid test. This is true for all three of its cruise lines. Hurray!!
  11. Several days ago we got a brochure with the itineraries but no prices. The ones we received were the usual suspects Arctic on Navigator, Arctic on Splendor, Tokyo to Singapore (I think), Spice Route, and 2025 world cruise. Didn't look like any new itineraries.
  12. Did I read the information correctly that cruises on Silversea are now eligible for the RCLH shareholder benefit? This was not the case in the past but would be a nice benefit.
  13. Your pictures are great! They bring back wonderful memories of being on Explorer and Splendor, as well as Navigator, Mariner, and Voyager. We found the food on Regent to far exceed the food on Oceania. But that is just our opinion.
  14. Any time we have cruised on Regent and docked in "London" we have docked in Southhampton. There are lots of means of getting to London from Southhampton. Also there are a variety of ships near the dock.
  15. So glad you and George are doing better. Covid has become so transmissible and, for most vaccinated people, so mild it will be hard to prevent and difficult to track. If one is afraid of contracting Covid, you just need to stay home. My DH and I love to travel so much that we are willing to take the risk. Life is too short.
