  1. Brewing a whole pot of Community coffee. Even though NCL allows coffee makers, they have switched to single cup pods recently. My cat Soft, normal sized pillow, not the huge, neck breaking things
  2. Well, I guess I e just never noticed it, probably because it is in a font size much smaller than the surrounding text. Thanks for pointing out my sloppiness in reading my confirmations. 🤭
  3. I have a reservation on the BA for February 2023. I booked an inside cabin and upgraded to a balcony using WP from BOA. i made final payment yesterday and received my confirmation. While making sure all the details were correct I noticed the following toward the bottom ( but above all the fine print) which said something like “In an effort to you with the best Freeztyle experience we have given you a complimentary upgrade to cabin #####.” There was also a code at the upper left which showed WPUPGR4, which is the code for Wprld Points upgrade. im perplexed at how they think my upgrade was complimentary when I paid for that upgrade with points. The cabin number they show is the one I selected when I upgraded. It’s no biggy, but I thought it curious.
  4. I have started getting emails recently to “ complete” my booking but I have not received phone calls from random PCCs. I have a fabulous PCC who we’ve used for about 14 years and I would never book online or with a random agent as she would lose the commission and she’s been too good to us over the years for me to take bread off her table.
  5. I may be mistaken but I thought the new policy was no testing for cruises 5 days or less. Seems I read that somewhere. I had my card with me so it wasn’t a problem , just thought it was unnecessary.
  6. We were on a 5 day cruise on the Breeze last week sailing from Galveston and I was very surprised that I was asked for my vaccination card. I asked the lady about the new announcement that vax was not required for this cruise and she shrugged her shoulders and asked me whether I was going to present a card or not.
  7. If you want to take advantage of another savings check out the CruiseFirst tab under the “explore” tab on NCLs site. The offer is usually pay $150 to buy a certificate (be sure to read the terms and conditions cause it’s pretty restrictive) and they give you an additional $150. In other words,0@5 $150, get $300. 🤗. They occasionally offer a $500 certificate but not always. This is a similar program to the CruiseNext certificates wh Ch you can buy onboard a ship.
  8. Wow! I missed that notice. I had 4 certificates and booked several cruises that are really too close together but…. I’m going to call my PCC and see if I can reschedule. Did you see it on their website or did they send you an email?
  9. That is correct. In the past you could only upgrade by booking the highest level, but it seems lately they will allow you to book a lower level, but that level will be your max in your upgraded category. Which may be absolutely fine. Actually we often select a balcony that is forward or aft and I would love to be able to pay less and get the upfrade to a BB or BC even. im sure you know this but at times the number of meals in the dining package may be less for an inside or OV than a balcony. When that happens you should receive the number in the category you paid for. However, we have often times gotten the Bal. Number, so if you do get the upgraded level, just quietly rejoice. Shhhhh.🤫
  10. In the fine print it lists eligible airline as any who use MMCos of 3000-3350. I don’t know specifically which airlines that is, bu t it would seem to encompass major airlines. I’ve always use a card other than my NCL card for airfare, so I’ve not had a chance to evaluate it. Maybe someone else here has experience.
  11. If you read the fine print it states “cross meta does not apply to Norwegian Epic as it does not have OV cabins”
  12. That’s what I would have assumed but since there are no OV rooms it muddies the water.
  13. I’m not sure, you will have to call World Points and ask. Let us know what they say, please.
  14. This is all very interesting and must reflect a change post covid. Because I’ve probably used points to upgrade 25 or so cabins and world points have always said I needed to book top level IN or OV to get a balcony. Now I am seeing people booking lesser levels to still get a balcony. I think this is great because we often don’t want a BA, we prefer a more isolated balcony.. I’m going to have to remember this when I do my future upgrades. this is so much better a deal. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Most standard balconies are the same layout and square footage. The real difference between a BA and say a BF is location. The BAs are more central while lower categories are usually further from midship. We do not mind motion, actually kind of like it, and a few more steps is usually needed with all our gluttony.
  16. It’s a crap shoot. Go to the spa on day 1 and ask them about day passes. They ordinarily only sell them on the day of use but they will have an idea at that point of ship passenger totals as well as the pre sold weekly passes. I always get a spa pass on cold weather cruises.the warm water and heated loungers really help warm my joints after an active day in the cold. On some ships, where the spa is at the front, the spa is a beautiful place to view passage through fjords and ice fields, out of the wind and cold.
  17. When I checked in online yesterday it was there. First time I’ve ever seen it and the entire page seems to have been redesigned. I think that cruise lines are using pre check TSA and in our case, Global Entry as another means of screening passengers.
  18. We always book our own cabin. We are very particular about location and wouldn’t trust anyone else to do it. In our early years of sailing we unknowingly booked a connecting cabin and found that we didn’t like the noise from the other cabin and it was back when smoking was allowed in the cabins and we could smell their cigarette smoke. We always make sure to pay attention to the legend.
  19. Just curious. I have four NCL cruises booked, one is after final payment and there has been a significant price drop. It seems to me the perks are the same (which is what always messes up my reductions) but I also have heard they are being difficult about it. Your experiences, please.
