Coco Beach Club on CocoCay- worth it?
Sunshine3601 replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I could be wrong but I think the beach club is adults only. I don't recall seeing any children there. I stand corrected, I just looked up and children are permitted. Wonder why I never noticed any. Maybe the price?? -

Complaints contact for Royal?
Sunshine3601 replied to Hawkeyetwo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Try to email the CEO, Michael Bayley's email is mbayley@rccl.com He has assistants that check his email and help with resolutions. Due to time differences it may take a day or two before you get a response. Good luck! I hope Mom and future baby are doing well. Congratulations! -
The first time I went to make stuffed cabbage in my 20's I didn't realize I had to put the cabbage head in boiling water to peel off the leaves. I had a whole bunch of torn leaves so I did "unstuffed" stuffed cabbage. It does taste just as good so sometimes I make this version vs. the actual stuffed version.

Yes, it was Ballsy to ask. The Realtor gave this whole song and dance about how we should help these first time homebuyers with funds for closing costs. She stopped her pleading when Eric replied "they are not first time homebuyers they just sold their townhome in a nearby town". When the buyers signed the contract I had looked online their current address and info on their FB and Linkedin pages. Did she forget the internet existed or maybe she figured since it was an Estate Sale we would just be happy to close.😁 Eric drove by this morning and said they have begun demo and have all the carpet from the bedrooms and window blinds in the driveway for trash as well as wood stakes for their fencing. Guess they really didn't need that $2,000 credit😇

Coco Beach Club on CocoCay- worth it?
Sunshine3601 replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That is a Great price! What ship are you sailing on? We sailed on Serenade in Sept for the repo cruise and booked the beach club for $79. We said that would probably be the max we would pay for it but I just booked it for $98 (DH doesn't know yet 😇) for a future Anthem sailing. My sailing has Hideaway beach on sale for $30. I was undecided on giving Hideaway a try at $30 or do the beach club as we love it there. I may book Hideaway while on sale (if it let's me book both) and decide as we get closer to the sail date. -
We left our happy place and heading back home. I forgot to mention. We had closing on Eric's Mom's home on Thursday afternoon. The buyers realtor tried to get a last minute (hour before closing) $2000 credit towards closing cost. Not sure if her buyers didn't realize how much actual closing costs would be but we said No and closed. Now that is sold Eric has to drop off the PA Inheritance tax forms for the Estate at Register of Wills office at the courthouse this week. I think we have told his Brother how probate of an estate works at least a half dozen times but he continues to ask the same questions. Uggghh!!

Hello from LBI. We decided to come down for just the day that way we don't have to pack our sheets, towels, etc. to stay the night. We arrived around 9 am. Boy, we sure do have great tenants (other than can opener lady) everything is in tip top shape. I feel like we don't have to do a thing. Eric put away lawn/patio furniture/flower pots and cleaned the grill while I mopped floors and cleaned the fridge (bathrooms were left spotless). We do not have any winter tenants this year so we will come back down early spring and power wash the house and decks and clean windows. We just had a fabulous brunch at Terrace Tavern. I had Jersey shore shakshuka made with hot sausage bolognese - delicious. Eric had a crab meat omelet that had lots of jumbo lump crabmeat. It is a beautiful sunny day, calm seas (I forgot my phone when I went to the beach - sorry no photos). Next I will head to my favorite used book store at Bay Village and turn in some books I read this summer and see if they have any from my list to read. I love the island when it is empty and the majority of traffic lights are off (just flash yellow). So peaceful but it is a chilly 55.

Black Friday starts the 9th.

We have been to the beach club a bunch of times of the years. We always enjoy the area. You feel like you are at a beach resort. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas. I have never seen it full even with 2 large ships docked for the day. They will serve you drinks at your lounge chair, just raise the little flag on the lounger and a staff member will be right over to help you The towels there are so much nicer than those blue towels. Floating mat is included. The beach area is very clean and easy to get in and out of the water, no big drop offs in the sand. The swimming pool is also very nice and is accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Bathroom and I believe I saw showers also available within the club. The food is Terrific. When you first enter the area they have a hostess that will make a lunch reservation (or you can make a reservation ahead of time while onboard your ship). We picked 1 pm but then decided we were ready around 12:30 and had no problem with getting a table. When there in September we had grilled lobster and filet mignon and they brought out extra lobster--no additional charge. I do not remember the name of it but we split a fabolous chocolate brownie desert (it was very large). We normally don't eat that much for lunch so we had salads for dinner that night. -
Blackjack card counting
Sunshine3601 replied to HappyTexan44's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I witnessed someone being removed from a blackjack table about 2 years ago (unsure if card counting or something else) but was told the following night by the casino worker that he was banned from the casino. He wasn't sure if it was forever or just the remainder of the cruise. -
Chop's Holiday Dinner: Is It Worth It?
Sunshine3601 replied to BlackForest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would not do it. You can pay full price for chops at something like $57 and get a 8 oz filet mignon (lobster tails have been rather small lately) and go buy yourself a glass of champagne a lot cheaper than paying $99 -
You would be fine with purchasing soda pkg for one person. When we cruised with our Son Chris and his Wife Donna we bought the soda pkg for Chris only as Donna doesn't drink soda. No issues at all. Maybe you want to book a lunch at a specialty restaurant. Basically same menus and much cheaper. Just a thought😊

IMO, that's a great price. Selling for $58.99 on 2 of our future cruises. -

I did purchase beach club for $98 last night. We were there in September for $79 and said probably wouldn't pay more than that since there are nice free areas but we did enjoy that area so I grabbed it and will see if we keep it. I already bought lunch at Jamie's on national Italian day in October for $15. I suspect they are not releasing all sale prices at once and will monitor some other items.
