  1. Greg, sending prayers for both you Linda to have speedy recoveries.🙏 You may want to consider renting a scooter and use it onboard to save your knee for when at port. It will get you to the Schooner bar quick like a bunny😄 When Eric injured his back last year he did not want a scooter, guess he felt he would be viewed different, but I didn't listen and rented him one thru specialneedsatsea (easy website order). He was happy to have it once onboard. With all the walking involved in cruising it gave him peace of mind to know it was in the cabin on days he may need it.
  2. We are thinking about booking Embassy Suites. Last I looked it was $165 per night and we can use credit cards points. Did you like this location? Is it in good condition?
  3. $19.99 is a good deal. Currently selling for $35.99 for our Serenade sailing in September and that only has 1 tender port (Grand Cayman).
  4. Congratulations! I'm sure your July cruise will be packed with lots of fun. I enjoy watching the look in the eyes of new cruisers, especially the little ones.
  5. The best place to snorkel is chill island where there are plenty of free loungers and umbrellas. And plenty of shady areas. Unfortunately, Enchantment doesn't have a Coastal Kitchen that JS passengers can use for dinner. Enjoy the larger cabin, larger balcony and your 4 diamonds drinks with 24 hr free internet pp.
  6. I'm at least 10 yrs before I retire, unless I decide to do so early. Personally, I cannot see myself retired. I enjoy my job. I would probably go part-time before fully retire.
  7. Did you purchase the travel insurance thru Royal? If yes, then you should not billed. Royal does not accept standard land based medical insurance that you may have thru an employer. Maybe ask the Grandparents if they were billed.
  8. Eric retired while we were on vacation. Now that we are home and I go back to work tomorrow I shall see what he accomplishes while home all day😁
  9. Thanks for the pre reno pictures. I couldn't remember what year they renovated. Inside the original diner (front part) doesn't look much different. I'm not sure about the big dining room in the back as we rarely go back there. We prefer a booth in the front or sit at the counter for a quick breakfast.
  10. @Jimbo. Took this photo for you while I was at the Wawa across the street. Sorry I should have zoomed in. Does it look the same as when you moved or was it renovated after you moved?
  11. It is definitely easier to get to cruise port in Barcelona. Barcelona Airport is also very close to cruise terminal if you want to disembark and fly home after cruise. The Civitavecchia cruise port is about 1 hr away from Rome. Most travel by train.
  12. Do you want to do a pre or post cruise stay in either of these locations? That would be my deciding factor.
  13. If you have the Royal app you can view current menus for specialty there and I'm pretty sure there are menus on the cruise planner of their website.
  14. Sorry I thought I recalled you saying you were upgraded to a balcony for free. I also thought I read that you only paid something like 1100 pp for your cabin. Was that before or after your Fcc? If that's correct, that's a great price for a 12 night cruise.
  15. From my years of cruising not many folks in their 20s or 30s do the 12 night sailings. They do mostly 7 nights or less. And the sailings to canary islands are usually priced higher than others. Let's Not forget you paid for an OV balcony and got a free upgrade to a balcony plus 3 Free bottles of wine and 4 free drinks as a diamond member that is equivalent to $56 USD per day based on average cocktail price of $14 USD. Did you count lounge chairs on pool deck, solarium, indoor pool and the upper sun deck? Pretty sure the total would be more than 1000 chairs. Just curious how you come up with 1000 loungers. I believe Anthem has a passenger count of something like 4250. Sorry you had such a bad cruise as we have always Anthem. Sailed on her more than a dozen times. Last one was April. Our favorite bartenders...Rajesh, Indy, and others at Vintages as well as casino waitstaff, head waiter Domis always takes good care of us when they see us arrive. I'm looking forward to our next 11 night sailing in January on Anthem in our JS.
