  1. Not Havana, Cove Balcony 5234, a favorite location. On Celebration again in January and Cove Balcony not available so doing OV on Deck 5 just in front of 5234.
  2. Yes it is, bar code upper right hand corner.
  3. Free Coffee - to right of JavaBlue, deck 6. We had a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 and for us was perfect location, very easy to “get to know” decks 6,7,8, easy access to so many venues.
  4. We had the light plastic ones on different ships about a year ago, husband now has a couple golf balls in his backpack that come along with him when we cruise.
  5. I do know you can go day by day.
  6. The Island is lovely, if you cannot walk it just stay on the Tram and circle the Island so you get an overall view.
  7. Lighthouse Beach does have some lounge chairs that are not padded. There are umbrellas but need to get off early to snag one, a few trees you could possibly sit under. The Tram can drop you off right at edge of Beach. Lighthouse Bar has three-seater/cushioned couches that you could put your legs up on and umbrellas that can be put up to shade you from the sun. The Tram will only drop you at pathway to Bar and you would have to walk a short distance.
  8. We are recently off the Celebration and had a Cabin on Deck 5. For us it was perfect location, very easy to orientate ourselves to Decks 6, 7, 8, so seldom had to use elevators for those decks. Same Deck in January for us. Check out any Interiors on Deck 5.
  9. MSC does not limit number of entrees you can order in dining room.
  10. If you realize this, and check in on App prior to bkft, brunch, etc., you will be ahead of the game. The first day on board at the dining room for breakfast there will be line up at the desk, people don’t realize or understand the check in thing. Once you check in you will get a reply telling you approximate time of wait, usually accurate, then eventually you will receive a table # and you get to go to the ‘head of the line,’ don’t wait behind everyone waiting for a table, show your table # to person at desk, we always wait in comfort on a couch outside of dining room. Hope this makes sense!
  11. 1) download app prior to boarding 2) once on ship put phone on Airplane Mode 3) Wi-Fi choices will come up, choose Carnival - there is no cost 4) app will show daily activities and menus etc., you can also checkin for bkft and brunch and dinner (if you have any-time dining) 5) app will also have your on-board account so you can keep an eye on that
  12. On Celebration Spa Cabins are on Deck 5, we were not in a Spa Balcony but were in a Cove Balcony on Deck 5 and loved location.
  13. We were on Seascape couple weeks ago, there were some bars open on ship, cannot remember exactly which ones, had beverage package so would definitely would have remembered if I could not use it, ha.
  14. We were cabin 5234, and in January doing an OV just ahead of it, as I said we loved location. Personally I wouldn’t hesitate to choose a spa cabin on deck 5. Hopefully though someone who has experienced one of these cabins can answer your question about noise.
  15. Were on Celebration three weeks ago, cove balcony on deck 5, (not spa cabin location so sorry cannot answer your question about the noise), but wanted to say we absolutely loved being on deck 5, very convenient to all of the activity/venues on decks 6, 7, and 8, a very easy location to get to know the ship.
  16. Great, thank you, we often do the Steakhouse the first night but I would like a different menu with different appetizers and soups/salads and desserts plus husband can still get steak so it’s Rudi’s for us in September.
  17. First/second night in Steakhouse you get either a free bottle of wine or 50% off bottle of choice. Is this also offered at Rudi’s?
  18. Spoke of our experience earlier. To be clearer will add this - i believe Platinum baggage is always ready about the same time the walk-offs with luggage start. So, we joined the walk-offs at about 7:30, (as we were walking towards the lounge we were to wait in, fun squad guy said to join walk-offs if we wanted to or we could wait til walk-offs ended), so off we went. All that to say, we didn’t have to haul our luggage off ourselves and we were off same time as those that did. Platinum does help! Need to add, glad to live in Florida and not have to figure out flights times like we used to.
  19. We had pretty much the same experience two weeks ago, except when heading to lounge came across fun squad guy who said all platinum luggage was ready and we could join the walk-offs if we wanted to so off we went, (never did make it to lounge so don’t know if they were still sitting there or not), caught Uber which was seamless and arrived MIA by 8:15.
  20. pdmlynek Seating time - dinnertime and always the same no matter the Port. We have no knowledge of MSC ship dinnertimes. In US “early” can be as early as 5:00 depending on size of ship and number of dining rooms. debnjoe1438 Chances of getting “early” - good - check cards on embarkation and speak to maitre’d (sp?) once on board if necessary - usually at one of the dining room entrances about 12/1ish - should specify in info you receive.
  21. Two weeks ago we walked from SC Seascape to Carnival Celebration, think we were C to F, worked ok, had to be careful, walked across road to parking garages where there are sidewalks, when we ran out of sidewalks crossed back over and slowly made way to final destination. All this to say you should be fine, just be careful.
  22. It was a first for us, we only ate in Dining Room once (we always enjoy the DR), but we enjoyed Chibang and Cucina so much we ate at both of them twice and had one dinner at Emeril’s. I asked when Chibang and Cucina on both Celebration and Mardi Gras would start charging a fee at dinnertime but no one knew. So wanted to take advantage when still complimentary.
  23. Shortly after restart I had a small pair of manicure scissors taken from my cosmetic bag (am sure if in suitcase would not have been seen and I was not trying to hide it as they travel everywhere with me) by an overzealous person who rifled through my purse then my cosmetic bag (I had no idea what he was looking for, he insisted I had a knife) and when he finally spotted my manicure scissors he held them up in the air and smiled and said “ah ha” - I couldn’t believe it.
  24. We found the Cucina dinner portions adequate (desserts delicious) and the Chibang portions at lunch adequate and at dinnertime ordered two mains (also with delicious desserts).
