  1. Daily service - if I remember correctly $14 per person per day - one of the least in the industry.
  2. When we cruised Carnival in the Mediterranean we were able to carry on “beverages” at embarkation (there was a liquor store inside the port) and at the ports we visited. We have never cruised Europe on MSC. I am wondering though if Europe is the same, just rambling thoughts - However on the Caribbean side with MSC we have been able to purchase “beverages” at various ports (not allowed to carry on at embarkation) that were never taken from us when we got back onto the ship. Just an FYI.
  3. I have heard they get a few “extra” hours off during one of their days, I must ask sometime, the room stewards we have had have always been excellent and like to visit throughout cruise, I do try and use names when doing a survey.
  4. When i needed to book two cabins I also had to book two separate times. After the fact you can “join” the two bookings. I did my research, figured out what two cabins I wanted, then booked one after the other.
  5. Meraviglia is a beautiful ship. We cruise between MSC and Carnival, both different, enjoy both. Have been on four MSC ships each more than once. Yes, prices right now great. Many have trouble with booking a cruise on-line but i have always done so without any difficulties. Doing a B2B on Mera in January then trying the newest the Seascape in February.
  6. Done, ordered bottle of red and bottle of sparkling and although it seemed to accept my cc I did not get any acknowledgment so I tried ordering another bottle of red and received receipt. Checked cc and both transactions were recorded. Gave it a couple hours and under the appropriate booking I do have two red and one sparkling waiting for me, yeah, success.
  7. I’d better buy mine before it disappears. Usually I book “all in” but didn’t this time so wanted a couple bottles of wine, realize not great wine but that’s ok.
  8. Just tried again to make sure I had given to right info - signed in, clicked on “beverages” and first the packages came up and as I scrolled down there were various other choices that included bottles of wine. Not sure why it would not be showing up for you.
  9. Quick question, if you already have a package do you still want to purchase bottles of wine?
  10. Something I appreciate of MSC is that it still services cabins twice a day, plus has one of the lowest daily service fees in the industry, everyone works so hard, we “tip” extra and are always rewarded with a huge smile, nice to be able to “make someone’s day!”
  11. It should be there, sign in to your cruise and click on beverages packages/purchases, if you scroll under that the various choices should show up, initially it appears that the only choices are the packages but the individual bottles are beneath that.
  12. I have found they are not strict with any beverage brought onboard at any Caribbean port.
  13. So Aris has to go to Australia, November 30 is so soon, any update on his cow?
  14. Aruba has a great public transportation system so if you just want to enjoy a beach on your own the bus goes right by / stops at Eagle Beach, it is listed as one of, if not, the best.
  15. I would suggest bottles of wine purchased on ship start at $30+. $200 can also go towards your daily service charge which btw is one the lowest in the industry and you still get your cabin served twice a day. Just looked up as I had forgotten, daily service charge is $14 per person per night
  16. If you go on-line, under your booking, you would be able to see the price of the sparkling or red wine you can order prior to boarding. We have been on several MSC cruises but I do have pictures of wine offerings, sorry.
  17. Agree, was checking wine prices for upcoming MSC cruise and was pleasantly surprised at the prices. For our January B2B I did not book the “all-in” as I have in the past so will purchase some bottles prior to boarding. And something that MSC makes convenient is using the beverage plan such as Easy Plus on the ship. With your cruise card, and of course if you have a package, you can get a beverage and water or two beverages or even three choices. We cruise between MSC and Carnival and have only had “drinks” with Carnival on the rare occasion when it was an Offer but with Carnival I found you could only get one beverage at a time, couldn’t get two beverages even when presenting both of our cards, had to prove spouse was within sight, couldn’t get a beverage and a soda, etc., not sure about other cruise lines and their restrictions when ordering. But bottom line, what I am trying to express, is that MSC allows considerable freedom when using a beverage package on the ship.
  18. Realize not answering your questions but wanted to tell you our experience - we cruised Carnival almost 100% until 2017 when we tried MSC for the first time - now we cruise between Carnival and MSC - different experiences - enjoy both - have been on Divina and Seaside and Armonia and Meraviglia and Seashore all several times - in January doing a B2B on Mera and in February doing a Side2Side on Seascape and Celebration - so my suggestion is to try MSC (well you are) and enjoy the cruise.
  19. Ok, “just shoot me now,” need to set the record straight, not that anyone cares, we did TA on Horizon, not Panorama, same ‘family’ if that matters - yikes - senior moment.
  20. Megan, enjoyed this review, again ty for your time, cannot resist cruising along with you, but I do “love” your Carnival reviews, looking forward to the Panorama, we did her first TA (what seems like) years ago now, it was great.
  21. I do not believe you can change the cabin assigned, but always worth a call if you have the time. About your last paragraph - the “metal” balconies could be considered “Fantastica Obstructed Balcony.” The Divina is a beautiful ship, we have sailed on her several times, actually met someone in the Steakhouse who was sailing solo and said she was having a wonderful time. The Atrium is a lovely place to enjoy music and meet people and relax before and after dinner.
  22. Thank you for Cove Pics, chose one for March cruise, excited, seems a long time away, but don’t want to wish my life away either.
  23. How was Steakhouse experience, Sunday March 5 for us, sounds like a long time away. Pics are beautiful, thank you for taking the time to post.
  24. A little off topic, quick question Megan, how is “your guy” doing on the Paradise?
