  1. On ship, everything wonderful, have been on Divina several times in past - 1) room service continues to be twice a day, you do not need to choose am or pm 2) dining room menu excellent - besides daily offerings there is also a list of choices that are the same every night that includes steak and salmon 3) gala night tonight - MSC now serving surf and turf gala night according to our servers 4) diamond party invite received so that’s back 5) captains cocktail is also back - gala night prior to first seating 6) all “staff” great, I am always amazed at how they remember our names 7) have “easy plus” and more than adequate, bar staff helpful if you are looking for something in particular - also don’t miss smoothie/protein bar outside of gym/spa, lots of choices, not busy, husbands new favorite “bar” We are sailing at 50%. More Europeans than earlier this year but still not the diversity there was prior to shut down. Oh yes, embarkation was a breeze.
  2. Anytime Dining - you will be able to get a table for two, no problem
  3. Just checked as I suppose it was nothing I paid attention to before - our middle names are not on our cruise docs/tickets. I would suggest they have never been. Not an issue.
  4. I know this is a Mera thread about highlights, didn’t mean to depart from that, on Divina a week from today, will certainly investigate.
  5. Must be a little dense - so I simply order a “smoked drink” or are there a multitude of smoked drinks?
  6. Educate me on “smoked drinks.” And Champagne Bar, we found it quite a large space rarely used, and if I remember correctly seating not real comfortable for a quiet relax.
  7. Deck 16 Sky Lounge - seldom used during day, overlooks poolside, great place for lounging/reading - in evening they have some entertainment, couple months ago we had a Duo that sang various types of music.
  8. 1) We have always found the evening buffet to be more than adequate, often enjoying the choices there more to our tasing than the dining room. 2) At one time the Mera had the Cirque in a venue at the very back of the ship and it had a cost. No more Cirque but when we cruised the Mera a few months ago there was a a Band in that venue that offered a different “show” every evening, don’t miss it. Although I suppose I do not know who is there now but make sure you check it out. 3) Formal night - perhaps more formal than on Royal but really a variety of ensembles. 4) They do have a “white night” and you do see a lot of Cruisers in white.
  9. Wanted to add this to the other comments - the Meraviglia, Deck 19 has the Sky Lounge which always had a Duo in the evening (we were on it a few months ago) and often couples dancing, it was never busy, my take is few people even realized it was there or didn’t bother getting there, a very nice venue.
  10. Just reminiscing, we sailed with Captain Massa several times in the Caribbean a few years ago, great Captain, very personable. We booked the Grandiosa when she first sailed but it was cancelled, he was to be Captain on the ship at that time. Anyone know his whereabouts?
  11. Sounds like a lot of “new to Meraviglia” cruisers on this thread. I hope you enjoy the ship as much as we do. We are booked on the Divina in 12 days but would not hesitate to book the Meraviglia again. Enjoy!
  12. Our on board credit card has never been billed in euros. I expect that depends on where you sail out of.
  13. When you embark go to Dining Room (someone will be at one of the Dining Rooms to take requests) to find out what size table you are at. We have always had success in getting our table assignment changed to a “table for two.” I believe those at Late Seating go to the first show.
  14. The last time I booked a last minute cruise and did not have time to submit the request on-line, I took a copy of the Proof of Shares with me onboard and customer service took a picture of it and sent it off somewhere and it was approved within 24 hours and applied to my account. Worth a try.
  15. Out of curiosity - does “our government” require you to complete an application and charge a fee?
  16. Now that cruise lines are not requiring testing for the vaccinated, i wish I could just pay the $40 that Bermuda apparently needs and forget about having to test.
  17. Our PVP always links ours together so if no PVP my suggestion would be to call Carnival as well.
  18. Exactly, I bring along a couple extra “TJM $1 bags” (all the ladies will know what I am talking about) and throw stuff in them. The Room Stewards and really great at moving in a timely manner.
  19. Just checked web site for any updates, without going into all the details/exceptions - no more testing, we cruise in September, B2B seven-night + four-night.
  20. I know this isn’t what you asked but thought I would chime in. We actually enjoy being in a different cabin on a B2B, feels refreshing, feel like we get organized again, depending on where cabin is feels like a whole new cruise experience.
  21. Agree. After cruising out of Port Canaveral recently for the first time in years, we could not believe how easy it was to drive into and out of the Parking Garage compared to Miami.
