  1. We are arriving October 25 so not necessary. In other posts it appears others are getting the same “wording.”
  2. Not sure what to do now. Got Travel Authorization from Bermuda and it still talks about testing being necessary. Do you think we can assume it is “old” wording?
  3. So on Bermuda’s website they say no testing necessary - on Carnivals website they now say no testing necessary - just got Travel Authorization back from Bermuda and it says “testing necessary” - can I presume Bermuda has simply not updated their form yet?
  4. Megan, you’re Platinum now, don’t forget to use the “laundry” perk!
  5. Not a stupid question - have cruised MSC several times - have to search for it every time - not an easy spot.
  6. Love the Paradise, an older ship, out of Tampa, has Aris made a decision?
  7. Oh yes - vaccinated do not need to test, buffet may not be entirely open but choices are plentiful, no masks required unless you choose, servers still wear masks and are anxiously waiting when they are free of them - were on Divina two weeks ago.
  8. Bella - you choose your type of cabin and will be assigned one Bella - you cannot choose early or late dining time (but we have never been denied a different choice once on board) Bella - no complimentary room service Fantastica - you choose type of cabin and cabin number Fantastica - you can choose dining time Fantastica - room service available for breakfast (Aurea is only level that gives you “anytime” dining and has other spa-type perks) (Yacht Club - their own little ship within the larger ship, people seem to love it, we jave never experienced it a cost is considerably higher)
  9. If you booked Fantastica experience you get one free change, so no fee for change, call and talk to agent.
  10. Looks like Larissa to me, she was on a B2B we did on the Freedom this Spring, delightful.
  11. Just off Divina two weeks ago, new Dinner menu, now offering “daily favorites” which include a delicious salmon and decent steak, along with various other choices, so our evening meal had many choices and was always excellent. Everyone seemed to enjoy the large shrimp from the appetizer section as well as the french onion soup. For the first time on MSC we had lobster on elegant night also.
  12. We cruise between MSC and Carnival. Both different experiences. Haven’t cruised Royal for many years. MSC - have never cruised yacht club and have had wonderful experiences on MSC. Have cruised interior as well as balcony. Room Steward still does cabins twice a day. Just back from Divina (on during Ian) and food great, dining room now offers “daily choices” every night which include salmon (delicious) and steak (equally as good). Also for first time had lobster on elegant night on MSC. Buffet also excellent. Service throughout the ship is great. Various music in the different venues. No problems and/or complaints from us.
  13. Yesterday, October 10, Carnival updated website re Bermuda travel, whew!
  14. This evening, letter from Carnival, no testing for vaccinated, whew!
  15. Megan, I “hope” you have the most out of everyone, you deserve it!
  16. Does anyone know the email format for MSC? Is it possible to contact an Officer to offer appreciation and thanks?
  17. How do we get Carnival folks to wake up? Supervisor I talked to “saw” the contradictions but all she could tell me is that “whoever” updates Carnival’s website hasn’t done so yet. We arrive in Bermuda October 25, you also?
  18. I agree that surely Carnival is aware by now, get it done! I would like to rely on Bermuda’s update but am afraid we will get to Port of Norfolk and get a Carnival rep that still thinks testing is required. And yes, we have completed the Travel Authorization and given Bermuda $40 each. One poster suggested getting tested “just in case” but testing locations these days are hard to come by.
  19. I do not do Facebook so hopefully John will read this. Or can somebody contact John via Facebook re this issue for those of us on the Magic arriving on the 25th so we can have updated information instead of "wondering?" Bermuda has updated their website to say that testing for vaccintated cruisers arriving October 25th onward is no longer required. Carnival does not seem to be "aware" of that and still says cruisers are required to show testing when boarding. I have called and talked to several Carnival employees and get a different story evey time but the one thing that is consistent is they all say that several people have called and asked the same question since Bermuda's announcement. Carnival's website says cruisers need to comply with country visiting and yet it still says we need to be tested. Help!
  20. Right, wouldn't you think Carnival could get their own website updated, just read what Bermuda is now saying, frustrating for me anyway. Not sure what other cruisers who dock in Bermuda October 25 are doing.
  21. Apparently, crazy. But as far as Carnival goes, still in a dilemma, either a) Carnival has not updated their website or b) Carnival still says we need to be tested even though Bermuda does not require it. Let's get it figured out Carnival.
  22. Called PVP just now and she transferred me to a Carnival Supervisor because I was the fourth person who was asking her the same question, and she said that Carnival has not received the Bermuda updates yet, it is so clear on the Bermuda website, cannot someone in the Carnival hierarcy read that and contact Bermuda and get the website updated. Some days it feels like we are going "one step forward and two steps back." My grumble of the day! So again it's wait and see.
  23. Just talked to a Supervisor and she said Operations Management has not received Bermuda updates yet, (of course they haven't), so Carnival's web site does not reflect the "no testing required" information. Hopefully soon! As I think I previously said (also in middle of Ian clean up on Gulf Coast so mind a little foggy) when I went on Bermuda's site to apply for the Travel Authorization it repeatedly said that "testing was no longer required."
