  1. If we have a cabin close to gym, husband often uses those showers as opposed to the one in the cabin.
  2. Yeah for you, get out of that cold Megan, following from the beginning, you make it so much fun.
  3. Yikes - I especially enjoy that MSC stewards still clean cabins twice a day - ha! We now cruise (mainly) between Carnival and MSC, different experiences, enjoy both. We are at 40+ cruises. I tell our girls we are going on “vacation from retirement.”
  4. My suggestion would be to try MSC. “How does MSC compare to other cruise lines?” - everyone has a different point of view to that question plus there are so many variables comparing any two cruise lines. You did say you do not prefer a fixed dining time - only Aurea guests get “anytime” dining, Bella and Fantastica are assigned a fixed time. We have sailed both Bella (you do not choose a specific cabin) and Fantastica and the only difference we have found apart from not choosing a specific cabin is with Bella you do not get room service which we typically do not use anyway. Right now we have three cruises booked on MSC, a couple Bella and one Fantastica.

Agree, the extra is always appreciated, I am happy when I can add some joy to the hard workers who make my vacation the best.
  6. I’ve booked directly with MSC online for 10+ cruises without any problem.
  7. Cruised out of Norfolk in October, it definitely is a bottleneck, after reading about the parking situation beforehand we decided to stay at a hotel that offered parking and Uber to cruise port, worked well, but even after being dropped at a roundabout right in front of terminal we had to join a long line outside in the drizzle, then we realized the line appeared to be as a result of people waiting for an elevator as stairs were blocked off by two workers directing people to elevator, asked if we could take stairs and were told “oh yes,” so that started a throng of us walking up the stairs - it was all a little crazy - and once up the stairs and inside there were still two more lines to navigate - wouldn’t choose Norfolk unless we lived really close. Reason in October for choosing it was to meet daughter and husband there who live in VA and visit Bermuda with them.

We give our Room Steward extra, Cabins are still serviced twice a day, always makes their day a little brighter! If we have a Bar Server who looks out for us and often one we have gotten to know throughout the cruise we do the same. MSC has one of the lowest Daily Service Fees in the Industry. Something extra always gets a big smile and thank you.
  9. Thank you both. I did try “editing” and the health questionnaire came up for both of us.
  10. Yes I have checked us both in, I will try editing our check in, maybe that will refresh it.
  11. Cruise tomorrow, have downloaded App, got an email this morning saying the “health questionnaire” was now available on App. Where do I find it?
  12. We always enjoy either the sit down breakfast or brunch (you can get bacon every day, breakfast or brunch menu).
  13. Agree. We are on Mera again in January, enjoy the ship, often enjoyed the Sky Lounge, never knew about “canapés.”
  14. To date we have never had anything go wrong with our bookings, but that idea is really cute.
  15. No. And I would suggest it is a lot easier package to work with than Carnivals. I would never hit Carnivals 15 limit. But with MSC you can get a couple drinks with your card rather than having to find your roommate to show their card.
  16. We tip extra for the wonderful service we have always received. The “daily service fees” on MSC are some of the lowest in the industry. I appreciate all the hard work our Room Steward puts in (still service cabins twice a day) and dining and bar staff work hard and we are always addressed by our names. The extra we give “whenever” during a cruise is always appreciated and I hope adds a little joy to their day.
  17. When I do a search on the US site it does say “free drinks” but I checked the confirmation I received a day ago and it states “easy plus.” I am not sure when the change from “easy” was made but it has been several months now. Our last several cruises have always been “easy plus.”
  18. Frequent Sky Lounge in evening, never knew about this, on B2B in January, yeah!
  19. Just last week my PVP got the $100.00 fee for changing dates on two booked cruises waived for us, was very appreciative. Also, as previous poster said, after I do my research which I enjoy, I will often put a cruise on hold and then contact my PVP. She is very responsive to emails and calls. She will find any deals if they are out there. If there is a drop in price she does that processing for me. Just really like having someone “I know” there for me.
  20. You do not go to Guest Services, you go to a Kiosk, have your room card and credit card with you.
  21. Agree. We got the beverage we requested but were charged the amount over $10, crazy.
  22. A couple days after embarkation stop by customer service to tell them you are B2B. You will eventually receive paperwork as to the process. About keycards - same cabin I think same keycard, different cabin maybe new cards - they will let you know. Our process was seamless.
  23. Yes it works, take $ out of on board account, play whatever, cash out, you will get a voucher you take to casino cashier.
  24. Did a B2B couple weeks ago on Divina - for lunch they offer a sit down in the Dining Room with a very nice menu - you do not need to join all the newly embarked at the buffet - was lovely.
