  1. No need to register cc when doing online check in, skip that step, necessary to register once on board at kiosk.
  2. At one time, if you were carrying in your tumbler you needed to take it to the store on Tamiami. I was told the plant north of 75 only receives products mailed in.
  3. We have never found "booking on board" to be an advantage," and it sounds like the price you see now especially with the $500 OBC makes it a great deal.
  4. If I remember correctly, on a 3 day sailing MSC does not offer any drink packages, either before boarding or after.
  5. Day of embarkation and Sea Days for sure, I’m not sure about Port Days.
  6. Live near the Tevis store in Florida. Yes you can take your tumbler in and they will send it away (does it have a ‘patch’ logo?) to remake it for you, you will get email when done to pick it up, if you need it mailed to you you pay for postage.
  7. We were on Divina in October (during Irma) and it was the new dinner menu that now includes “daily favorites,” salmon was delicious, it was also the first time we had Lobster elegant night on an MSC ship, also shrimp cocktail had large shrimp which was also delicious. MSC burgers at buffet not great but the burger on the lunch menu is one of the best burgers we have ever had.
  8. I was able to purchase ours today for a March 2023 cruise on Celebration.
  9. MSC never seems to out those two things in cabin but we always ask for them and get them. On Divina couple weeks ago go Room Guy left clean washcloths every day. Also gave us tissues. No problem.
  10. A seven day cruise is always a better choice for us. We have been on both Mera and Divina several times. Just off Divina three weeks ago, did a B2B. Everything was wonderful, we feel food selections greatly improved, on evening menu they now offer “daily selections” along with four or five other choices, was great. In January doing a B2B on Mera. Hoping they too have what seems to be the new dinner menus. Comparing ships, hard to do, both beautiful, on MSC ships you rarely find a spot of rust. Divina is a more typical cruise ship plan whereas the Mera has a huge atrium which is gorgeous, really nice English Pub, steakhouse beautiful. Many cruisers feel Mera does not have enough outdoor space but we have never felt that way. If you have specific questions I “may” be able to answer.
  11. I remember when this first became a practice. Few people used it. Just off the Magic yesterday and ship was close to capacity. I would say at least half did the “carry off” thing which took a huge amount of time. The rest of us waited in the Theatre at our respective times while these crowds thinned out. My suggestion would be to let those who put their luggage out the night before debark first, we move along quicker than those toting their huge bags and then needing to wait for an elevator if they cannot put one hand on the escalator handrail. If the trend continues soon close to the entire ship will be carrying off their own bags. Thoughts? Or was yesterday’s experience rare?
  12. We ended up with a late boarding time as I forgot to check in in a timely manner. Any point in us getting to ship about noon? We have always boarded early so am wondering if the crowds ease by noon hour and if we would be able to get on earlier than later.
  13. Have read through your “story,” we are cruising on the Magic tomorrow. Did you reserve Uber ahead of time or simply call for one Day of Embarkation?
  14. Sent this prematurely, just read through someone’s “story” who was recently on Magic out of Norfolk, they said it was “Half Moone,” and appears they Ubered from a hotel as we are. All is good.
  15. Does Carnival use Half Moone Cruise Port in Norfolk? We are taking either Uber or Cab from a hotel. Like to know for certain in case “driver” not sure.
  16. We did a B2B on Divina a couple weeks ago, process as everyone outlined above. Adding, all of the B2Bers on the Divina were invited to lunch in the dining room as opposed to joining all the new cruisers embarking, it was delightful, had a great luncheon menu, very relaxing.
  17. Husband got his two days after mine, his wording is updated, so yes, mine and most likely a few others were done before Bermuda updated form. So all is well. After I got mine with “old” wording I emailed them and they immediately responded saying NO TESTING for vaccinated. So all is well - yikes!
  18. Applied for our TAs October 4 - received mine October 12 and husbands today October 14 - cruising Sunday October 23.
  19. Applied for our TAs October 4 - received mine October 12 and husbands today October 14 - yeah!
  20. I did email “Bermuda” last eve asking about the TA form I received, got response this morning saying “testing not required” but they did not address the form that does not have accurate working for our October 25 arrival. But feel relieved. Such craziness.
  21. I do not know why MSC asks for cc information during the checkin process, it has never been necessary, it has never carried over to ship’s system. You always need to go to kiosk, and that is a simple process.
  22. A “conniption” - what an interesting word! The Travel Authorization that I, and others, have received still refers to necessity of testing. So I was questioning whether or not we simply assume it is wording that has not been updated yet.
