Roy, I'll be thinking of you while I am traveling on the Shinkansen and traveling around Japan mostly south of Tokyo, Japan in October.:) Ill be doing what you do-multiple modes of transportation.!st train to Seattle, then a cruise to Yokohama, then traveling for the most part by Shinkansen while in Japan , my happy place Crystal cruises 1. B2B Alaska to LAX in August of 2024, 2.. 2024-25 holiday /New year's day cruise on Serenity roundtrip from Ft Lauderdale/Miami (whichever it is going to be ) 🙂

Has anyone heard any updates about when the 2025 itineraries will be announced?

I too have fond memories of Catalina Island as I am from SoCal and my grandparents used to have ahome on Clarissa St..Flying fish boats, glas bottom bots,tour up through middle Ranch where the Wrigleys usedt to have Arabian horses(Which I have owned and loved in the late 80's )My grandmother also had a llama named Don Pedron who was adoreable and we were allowed to ride him.She eventually gave or sold the llama to a ranch on Catalina which was part of the Inland motor tour, sio I was able to see him again . Oh and I cantt forget the penny arcade,the salt water taffy making store on the ocean front, and my beloved Sea Monkeys! LOL Also we used to be able to take an amphibious seaplane from Long Beach to Catalina loved taxiing down into the ocean and landing by Pebbly Beach on Catalina Island 🙂

since it will be my first time trying PC, I decided that it is better to go w the shorter itinerary and try to get to Antarctica some other time .Therefore I am now going from my home port to Santiago and then? Would love to see the Chilean fjords, Puerto Montt etc

I highly recommend Cascais and Sintra while you are in Lisbon. Beautiful scenery along the way too 🙂

I'm trying Princess cruises for the first time, in December, and it leaves out of my home port(YAY) just not sure if i am going tp keep the Antarctica segment ,the whole 34 days, or Just to Santiago or Buenos Aires, like 18 days

So far,:: B2B in August 24 Vancouver-Alaska- Los Angeles Holiday and New years B2B, Miami to Mami then somehow home to LA LOL ( I don't like to fly if I don't have to ,so I am looking to trains, (which I actually really enjoy!) Other cruises include a cruise to Japan on another line, and LA to Santiago, via Antarctica, (also via another cruise line ,then somehow home again! LOL One flight is better than 2 for me these days

omg I am losing my mind AAAK !!!You are right it was 0205! My dad was on the WC2009 and asked his kids to go on different segment .Fortunately he got of in Melbourne and flew to Pertht o spend some time with friends and rejoining Serenity there

LOL On the infamous Crystal Symphony crossing #0210 from LAX to Sydney., somewhere between the 2 typhoons we were straddling! 🙂 One lady and myself I recall were runnong around deck 6 trying to get pictures.One of the pds was broken between Melbourne and Perth so we limped into Perth 2 days late

people need to keep in mimd that Crystal started late in the game re ports of call, which are often booked well over a year in advance if notmore so (Keith?) Many popular ports of call were already booked well before NC started operations last year I would not take the sailings of 23 and 24 to necessarily be indicative of where NC plans to sail in 2025 and beyond..

Like probably most on this board,I remember the brand of cereal.Life. 🙂
