  1. I searched all over Colon and Cartagena for one. What amazing luck! Probably the only tail I'm going get any time soon. Off to the casino given how lucky today is!
  2. Went to the NextCruise presentation and I won! A child whale tail purse, blue stud pierced earrings, a casino Royale key chain and a plastic passport or sea pass card holder. Oh and artwork print.
  3. Expansion of the Panama Canal "The Present & The Future" Correct, Right side of the bus when facing forward.
  4. Anthem has open outdoor Windjammer seating on the aft. Spectrum does not. One could argue Spectrum is more of a cold weather ship than Anthem is. Quantum was in Singapore to restart cruising. Anthem is nearly a mirror copy of Quantum. They all have indoor casinos. That's as important as anything else in Singapore.
  5. In my experience over the past several years they are taking steps to block such devices. This started brfore the ppandemic. Like you I used to use one not to share the internet but to create usable wifi in the cabin. I don't bother any more because it becomes an extended effort trying to keep them working over the length of the cruise. Now I stick a shoe in the door during the day and I live with no internet over night.
  6. City of Dreams Good performance from the cast. Music from the orchestra was also good. I didn't take photos from where I was to avoid interfering with other guests enjoying the show.
  7. The Giovanni's Filet has long been a strong contender. Tonight was no exception. One of the best filets I've had in a long time.
  8. Dinner in Giovanni's tonight. This may be as close as I get to sunset pictures for tonight.
  9. Odyssey is an evolution of her prior sisters. The MDR is a prime example. Stunning. Quantum Ultra class vs. Quantum class. Regular aft balcony cabins, not just suites back there. But I see your point. One of the newest ships in the fleet, how terrible for you!
  10. Day 10 Cruise Compass (Yes I know it's only day 9 but I saw it, so I post it, or else I'll forget) RD Day 10 cruisecompass.pdf
  11. For those keeping score with Starlink... new gateway city. I think I saw this IP on our way South. I imagine, depending on where a Starlink satellite is and the direction it's going relative to the ship's position could see us changing gateway cities one test to the next. Pretty cool stuff and a lot of tech involved.
  12. Vision did something similar for a Northbound transit in 2019. They did it midday while we were in Gatun Lake.
  13. When that occurs it is usually the device at fault. Access points have little control over roaming. It's entirely up to the device to choose to associate to another access point.
  14. The Entering the Pacific Ceremony King Neptune, a.k.a. Vernon our LA, held court over the scoundrels who tried to slip into the Pacific and for crimes on board. Select crew were called out for their transgressions. The King then doled out justice. They were cleansed in waters of the Pacific. GSM and Activities Manager were up next. Crimes of closing guest service in port so he could go on excursions and failing to bring the CD coffee were allegated. Guest volunteers were hauled before the King. They had to kiss the fish. Next the HD was "cleansed" four times once for each stripe for crimes that included eating in Chops every night. Then Captain Rumen was called out. His crimes included making too many announcements and forgetting to give the CD a birthday present. The crew seemed to be enjoying this. So the Captain fired them all. For back talking he was cleansed two more times. CD Mark tried to end the Ceremony but was called out. King Neptune and his Queen ended the ceremony and poised for pictures. It was a lot of fun and enjoyed by crew and guests alike.
