Based on the price we paid when we booked it would cost us $1,400 total additional to purchase cost so we will stick with guarantee
-
Thanks, just my wife and I so size of cabin is not as important as view and location
-
Thank you all for your replies. I looked today and they are now offering OV Balcony. Still $300 more than Guy.

I booked a balcony guarantee on Odyssey’s November 25th sailing because guarantee was $700 pp ( $1,400 total) less expensive than picking cabin. I have never seen pricing that far apart and usually pay a little extra to pick room but just didn’t make sense this time. I did a mock booking and no Obstructed View Balconies are offered even though all deck 6 balconies are OV. Leads me to think odds are all guaranteed will be deck 6. No problem, I’ll get what I paid for but have any of you booked a balcony guarantee on Odyssey and not received OV? my current plan is to bid on Royal Up for large balconies and suites and hope to get one. However, no problem if not. We are Diamond status but this will be our first time to Curracao and Aruba and also first on this class of ship.

My wife and I also both use CPap and will be on Odyssey in November. The good thing about at least 1 outlet at the bed is you can just run the extension cord under the bed and not have it on the floor across the room.

Was on Granduer a couple of weeks ago. Glenlivet and Glenfiddich were only choices. I also am Balvenie fan but only Highland scotches available.

We did it with Spain Day Tours and it was fantastic. 10 hours is enough.

Valencia and Malaga Excursions

2nd on the Al Hambra tour. We did the same in May and it was incredible. -
This is excellent advice. I had a $75pp upgrade bid from OV Guarantee to Spacious OV but was tracking pricing for Grandeur 11/13 cruise and called my TA today and was able to upgrade for no additional cost. I cancelled my Royal Up bid.

Does anyone know if I book onboard at next cruise desk they will credit the gift card (after I pay the deposit) or will I still have to email a copy of the cards?
-
I received the 30 day notice when I tried a couple of weeks ago for my November cruise but this morning the RU email was received 37 days prior.

My favorite sandwich. Had it several times on the Wonder TA. Hope it is as good on the Grandeur on my 11/13 sailing.

I agree, I wish the 11/13 cruise was Diamond for me but plan to book next cruise onboard for my 1st Diamond cruise. I am sure you will have a great time with the girls as an Emerald.

I suggest you download them before you leave and , if you have an Apple phone, save them to your Wallet app. If not Apple phone, take a screenshot and save it in your photo album.

Boarding times and muster drill questions
tpcwags replied to chukli's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was able to fill out documents and select my boarding time 45 days before the cruise. Tip- the window opens at midnight so I stay up so I can get the earliest time possible. I’m in 10:30-11:00 group. As for safety drill, you will watch a video on the Royal App and then go to your muster station anytime prior to their deadline at your convenience. I find it on a better to go as soon as you board. -
I booked a 5 day, sailing 11/13 for that very reason. I had 75 points after Wonder Transatlantic in April-May and will be Diamond on all cruises after this one.

Who still does the older Royal ships, and....
tpcwags replied to klfhngr's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes, We book for price and itinerary. Sailing in Grandeur in November. That said, we very much prefer Oasis class ships when possible. -
I know AARP RCL gift cards normally must be mailed to RCCL after booking and paying deposit but can you use them when booking at Next Cruise while onboard? Hoping since you are booking in person with Royal Representative they can accept but not sure.

I will be on the Wonder TA 4/20 and the Blue Lagoon excursion has not been offered since the switch from Allure. Does anyone know if it will be offered once onboard?
