  1. Perhaps they will do away with Al Bacio and introduce Starbucks like hotels that would not surprise me. β€œ To enhance our valued guests experience and enjoyment they can now enjoy a delicious freshly brewed coffee and other Starbucks favourites β€œ A fee will be applied.
  2. Hi the changes to the butler services are only for sky suites at the moment. I think there are no changes to the service for Celebrity suites and higher categories.
  3. It will be great if you can let us all know of your experience πŸ‘
  4. I too can set up my breakfast but it is so nice to be brought to my cabin at the time I want. We were really spoiled by our butler on our last 2 cruises on the Reflection and the Edge. Both brought us wine and water. A once a day visit with some bottles of water and a bottle of wine with clean glasses was all we needed. breakfast on the balcony was another treat we will see in March if we see a difference.
  5. Just hope you get it all sorted, I have only ever booked one flight with the cruiseline a trip to Rome when the flights were included agh no I also booked flights with RCCL for a one way TA from Houston to Manchester. That experience 10 years ago made sure I never did it again i really hope everything works out have a great vacation πŸ‘
  6. My question was β€œHow can you even think of allowing vaping in any part of the ship other than designated outside smoking areas. Furthermore why are you putting guests health at risk β€œ
  7. Travelling in September is one of the best times to travel in the Med. The daytime temperatures should be in the high 70’s and you should have no need for a seater. Although my wife may differ as she feels the cold more than I do 😎
  8. BUT I could never eat a whole one πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  9. Same here, we are trying Azamara again in October, no casino but no smoking / vaping anywhere inside. To me the new CEO is destroying the brand by 1000 cuts.
  10. @OysterD I love your responses, you will have a great time the ship is beautiful.l remember when the Solstice was first muted the boards lit up. β€œWill never sail on those class of ship” was the theme. But hey ho many years later the same class is being praised. People tend to like what they know but I have been sailing with X since the Summit was new and will continue whatever ship we choose. The only thing that may change our view is if they allow vaping inside. Have a great cruise πŸ›³πŸ‘
  11. The maiden voyage was to be in July but this happened: Explora Journeys has pushed its first ship's maiden cruise to Aug. 1, departing from Copenhagen, Denmark, saying a delivery delay has occurred because certain building materials did not meet safety requirements. The Explora I had previously been scheduled to depart England on July 17. so when did you sail πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. My DH never used it πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  13. The balcony and views were fantastic,
  14. We stayed in 9376 on the Reflection, the pole was by the bed but was not really an issue, quickly got used to it and it never was an issue.
  15. Happy to answer any sensible questions. hello thanks for the review we are sailing on the Onward round trip Istanbul in October. Can you please tell me what time you docked and were able to leave the ship. I am booking a car to pick us up after the cruise. Many thanks
  16. Change, obstructed is usually that you have a lifeboat below and your view is really not restricted. These cabins are usually on deck 6, unless you have a hump cabin take the $500
  17. Azamara have a policy that was similar to Celebrity: Azamara's ships have a designated smoking area on the portside forward section of the Pool Deck. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas of these ships, including public rooms, restaurants, the Pool Deck, staterooms and suites, verandas and hallways. Additionally, smoking is prohibited on all components of the land tour portion of all Azamara Club Cruises cruise tours. This policy includes the use of products like electronic cigarettes.
  18. Azamara Azamara's ships have a designated smoking area on the portside forward section of the Pool Deck. 19. The problem is that it is being allowed in public venues I have no problem if people wish to smoke or vape in the designated areas. I just avoid them but why should I be exposed to vape chemicals in an enclosed space. If people want to vape in their cabins not a lot can be done, smoking is a different situation as the smell of smoking can easily be detected. If it was up to me I would not allow smoking or vaping anywhere on a ship and I really wish a cruise line would come out with such a policy.
  20. When you board go and see the captains club host, they will provide you friend with a new sea card with elite plus status. This will allow them to attend the same captains club events as you too.
  21. I totally agree as I said it felt like the agent was just paying lip service. The cruise with the NRD is the Beyond Panama Canal cruise in March. We have a S1 booked at a fabulous price and it is one we would really like to take. So we most likely will and just boycott the casino except to remove our OBC. However that sailing is no longer showing on the web site. 🀷🏻Or on any TA sites surely Celebrity would not cancel it and do a charter.
  22. I think they advised this because my wife is asthmatic but I bet we will need to fight for it
  23. No not specifically but from her response I got the impression that they are willing to refund. We told her that my wife is asthmatic which may have been the reason. The test is not really a true reflection so maybe they will allow those 2 current ships to carry on after the test. I really do not know what they are thinking of allowing this. We got the impression that they are just paying lip service and it will be fleet wide soon, but as people book so far in advance I really hope our B2B in March will not be affected. In any event we are looking elsewhere and will not be booking any more cruises with Celebrity. We have a cruise on Azamara in October and have been looking at Oceana, Seabourn and Silversea. I am also going to research Viking and Virgin Cruises. To sum up we really got the impression that they just do not care and the $$$ is all that matters to them
