  1. I agree that is what the pictures show, but until we see the total menu for these desserts, we will not know for sure. If the two adults in a cabin have a package but the 3rd/4th passengers (usually children) do not, are the two with the package allowed to share the special deserts with their children who do not have a package? Beverage package drinks cannot be shared. Will the rules be the same for desserts?
  2. Shore excursions booked by Elite status members pre-cruise are purchased at full price with the 10% discount being given as refundable OBC once on the cruise. Certainly that is the way it should work if you paid with a Credit Card or Gift card or refundable OBC pre-cruise. What happens if you booked an excursion with part of the cost coming from non-refundable OBC and the rest from your credit card, gift card, etc? Does part of the rebate come back as refundable OBC and part as non-refundable OBC? Or if the excursion booked pre-cruise was paid totally with non-refundable OBC, does the discount come back as non-refundable OBC or refundable OBC?
  3. My question is: Are the premium desserts all totally new or are they taking what has been a number of "free" desserts and will charge for them if you do not buy one of the packages?
  4. Before the autotip started, there was on Princess a suggested amount to tip which, as I remember it, added up to about $10/day. Princess did break it down in amounts to tip the cabin steward, waiter, asst waiter, and headwaiter. I do not remember the breakdown, but it was well known at the time.
  5. Did you see when the prime seats started to fill up? With RCI, those at a certain level in their loyalty program have an evening cocktail party and I have seen people from that party march in en masse just before showtime holding a drink in their hands. If that is what you have experienced, then the area is indeed being reserved for those who are truly Loyal to Royal.
  6. I had wanted to share on an upcoming cruise, but only a Table for Two was available. Maybe with this update I will have the shared option which I had wanted. I will have to go check on the App (if I dare).
  7. Just to be sure, 1 is the lowest possible rating. No way to pump it up to a 1 from the zero many think it deserves.
  8. They were usually on a small stand inside the dining room by the doors when you exited after your meal. Sometimes there were some mints there also.
  9. Princess used to also have a couple of magazines/books in the cabin which were really advertising. I suspect these also have not come back after the restart.
  10. As far as I know, within the USA there is no restriction on flying on a commercial plane if you have active Covid. Whether you should or not is a different question.
  11. I do not think this was cost cutting. Princess removed those items to help stop the spread of Covid since at the start of the pandemic it was unknown if the virus could easily be transmitted by people touching those items.
  12. So, as far as Princess is concerned, it is already paid. Just get a printout of this and don't worry about it.
  13. Was that roped off area only for those with high enough priority to have this privilege or was it for all those on board who had made reservations before the show?
  14. Even if you have a TA, you can call Princess to have a FCD refunded.
  15. Try again. Even if you do not get the rep that helped Idtr, you may get a rep (different than the one you had earlier) who knows how to correct your problem.
  16. If you call Princess now you can pay the old rate, but you will need to pay the full price now and get your 50% discount back as refundable OBC when you take the cruise.
  17. If not fixed pre-cruise, ask the on board Captain's Circle rep to help straighten it out.
  18. At least before these announced changes Princess said they expect about 25% of passengers to book the Premier package. So on a Royal class ship that would mean about 890 people. Either quite a few seats will need to be reserved for those with the package or a number of package people will be disappointed that they do not actually get to use this perk.
  19. If you have already ordered the medallions, there will be no shipping charge. If you have not ordered the medallions yet, there will be a shipping charge if you do not order soon.
  20. Understatement of the year! Maybe that is why the App store shows an average user rating of 1 star out of 5 for this App.
  21. One way to test that theory is to see how fast it is on a port day when many others are off the ship, but you are on it.
  22. Instead of adding them as OBC and then purchasing excursions with the OBC, can't you use them directly to purchase the excursions pre-cruise?
  23. At some ports where more than one ship is leaving from the same terminal, sometimes a piece of luggage gets to take a trip on the wrong ship.
  24. Since I could not use the Personalizer to enter any needed information, I called Princess to get help with getting Ocean Ready. I reached a knowledgeable rep in the Philippines who basically told me all I needed to do to become Ocean Ready was to accept the cruise contract. The rep did not have to read the 13,583 word Passage Contract over the phone. Instead I just had to accept the contract sight unseen for myself and for my spouse. Now we were both magically Ocean Ready. (System must have picked up information such as credit card number from other bookings). Then the rep took the order for the Medallions to be shipped to my home address. I almost instantly received confirming E-mails that the Medallions have been ordered (Thank you for your OceanMedallion Order # OCEAN-xxxxxxx). Since this was the first segment of a B2B, I gave the booking number for the second segment. Lo and behold! Accepting the Passage Contract for the first segment was all that had been needed to make us Ocean Ready for the second booking.
  25. Yes This is a $10 nibble. Then there is the $2.50/day/person crew appreciation nibble. Then there is the 50% cost increase nibble in daily Internet single device charge. All these (and other) nibbles can add up to a significant bite to the vacation budget.
