  1. Outside of the "world revolves around me" theory, there's the real-world. Where everyone believes their scenario needs the utmost attention. Where is the cutoff? Then cruise lines start missing out on revenue because people can drop out whenever they have a sob story. Another lesson here is the misconception of TAs being able to move the sun and the moon.
  2. Carnival claims NCL is doing this only because the e muster requires more staffing. They also claims they have received favorable feedback from the Coast Guard around the e muster.
  3. This is a must for me. I absolutely love having a cold beer in my room whenever I want it. There's been many a morning when I wake up, and go straight to the balcony with a beer.
  4. We did the helicopter in Kauai. I get it, it can be a bit unsettling. An absolutely amazing experience though. I am super glad we did it.
  5. There are plenty of options out there for those who continue to demand lines cater to their specific wants. No one is stopping you from going on a line with your free pizza 24/7, room service, ice swan at midnight, all for triple the fare.
  6. I am not a Cheers guy. However, I was pleased to see all of the Blanton's. That certainly increased the value for me. Maybe on a 4 day I will do it.
  7. While I would put itinerary before this, I do agree with you. Canaveral is not convenient.
  8. Even if there isn't a curfew, this could also have a secondary effect of issuing a stealth curfew. Without pizza or ice cream, less reason to stay up all night. I know this usually results in getting attacked for my pizza demand privilege, but this is a non-issue. I just came back from the Celebration. Not going to lie, I absolutely dreaded getting into that pizza line, knowing how they usually are. It turned out to be the fastest pizza line ever on a Carnival cruise. Even the late nights, they had a basketball team making pizza and a guy handing out slices just made. This was a FAR better experience than the FOMO of 24/7 availability.
  9. Different strokes for different folks, blah blah. There is no chance I would miss HMC. We only get so many chances to go to absolutely beautiful places. Why not take it in? I've been there before, and can't wait to return. If you aren't beach people, what are you, pool deck people? Often, these are just excuses to justify that huge Cheers bill. A lot of the people who don't like "crowds, beaches, tourism, etc" would magically find their way to the beach if their Cheers worked there.
  10. Depends on you. If you will let your week be ruined because they don't have a specific dish from 14 years ago, then you probably shouldn't go. Believe it or not, there's people that will say a 2023 Breeze cruise has many benefits over a 2009 Ecstasy cruise.
  11. Go to the Festivale between 1-3 on embarkation day. Boris will be there and is very helpful.
  12. According to the cruisers on here, you are given a lunchable and don't see any crew the whole time.
  13. You aren't owed any reason why anything changes. Because then passengers play detective and lawyer, and decide if they like that reason. It didn't happen just because someone felt like it.
  14. Update: we purchased this one and rolled the dice based off of the comments. It included the bus ride. $55 for the entrance and two-way ride was a good offer.
  15. Living life fearing "things aren't the way they used to be" is not going to end well. We just got off of a cruise a little over a week ago. It was an absolute blast. Life is too short to worry about the type of food you had 20 years ago on a cruise.
  16. If you've been on more than one cruise, the giant water bottle is included. I would use that for pills in the morning.
  17. Ugh, I miss being on that ship. What a great time. That balcony is outstanding.
  18. Better yet, water is free all over the ship.
  19. Funny thing is, Celebration had the quickest pizza line I've ever seen on a Carnival cruise.
  20. Ok, maybe marginally wasn't the best choice of words. My point is while food is nice, it isn't the center of the universe. It isn't the main entertainment for me. I can have nice food when I want. Celebrity is a fine product. However, the people raging about food in this environment is excessive. There's plenty of us just shrugging our shoulders at the huge rage.
  21. The Celebrity forum is a massive revolt right now. People needed to sail them and spend all of this money for dining reasons. Now that the dining is not what they envisioned, they feel they are not getting the experience they wanted. If you think Carnival is this, you will be disappointed. For the rest of us, we know Carnival is a great value, a fun time, and we won't go hungry. I honestly don't need to spend $1-$2k more for marginally better food and a stuffy environment.
  22. While I understand your frustration, what are you expecting here? That they will change their mind because you want them to? Anyways, I wouldn't take the cruise. Knowingly missing your favorite port and being at sea 75% of the time is too much for me.
  23. Yes, but at one point, there may have been 6 entrée options instead of 5. Also, why can't I have all the lobster tail I can eat? Why should I even cruise anymore?!
  24. Mine didn't quite look like the one you had on Mardi Gras
