I was asked earlier what time we would be sailing up the St. Clair. The daily indicates we should be sailing past Detroit at approximately 2:30 this afternoon.

Last night we were invited to a Champagne reception for Grand Admiral and Commandant Status. As a Status match it was kinda funny when the Captain ask what our favorite cruise destination was. We had to say this one.

We were commenting yesterday how incredible it would be to see the fall colors. We have seen a couple trees that were bright red at the tops. For us in California. Green and Bright Orange (California Poppy) is our winter color.

There will be differences on every cruise line but we are finding that if you embrace the differences as a new experience your eyes will be open to a new world. it really feels like having your first date after the end of a 25 year marriage. You start realizing that stepping out of our comfort zone allows for personal growth.

That would really be nice never sailed around Stockholm. Years back I was there over a weekend on business. I took a tour boat out to and ancient Viking settlement island for a long hike. We were warned to be on time for our return as it was the last sailing of the season.

We had a feeling that would be the best time. Ponant has another ship doin the lake in early October.

It is incredible we are to land. I feel like I could touch it.

It was incredible. When we went ashore the Chef was on on tender to source some local product - Will be interesting to see what he found.

Ponant is not the best with communication of timing. Today on our itinerary said departure would be late afternoon. The port information on the tender this morning said Last shuttle 5:00 and departure 5:30 - We just departed at 6:00. I'll see if I can find out the timing.

I purchased some on Apex in April/May and they had a 1 year booking window.

I often order a Baked Potato or Rice with my Entree. I've also ordered french fries.

I have to agree we have been lucky with the weather. One day of light rain on departure day and beautiful High 60 - low 70 days. The sun feels so good and virtually no winds. We had some medium chop in Lake Michigan but since then on Lake Huron it has been as smooth as a pond.

Returning to the ship for lunch. We were rewarded with a nice Seafood Buffet. Same menu in MDR. We decided to eat there. And were the only ones in the dining room.

Fun day in Parry Cove. Climbed to the top of Tower Hill. The views fro the top of the tower were worth the effort.

They had a nice Seafood Buffet laid out at the pool deck.

Time to head back to the ship for a 1:00 tender.

I did find a couple doors. Most homes have storm doors that hide the door.

Now up to Tower Hill and a museum Iain made it up two floors before turning back. He doesn’t do heights well.

We are about 2 weeks early for the fall colors. Just a few trees are showing color. Crossing an old railroad bridge was really interesting. Local school classes painted panels. Remember this one of Tower Hill

No real plan we just took off and found a trail along the river.
