The protocols are being updated but Australia / New Zealand have been requiring testing and testing for B2B. TA's and TP's are requiring testing. We are on a B2B for a TA and are being advised we will be tested on-board between the Caribbean cruise and the TA. Personally I would prefer to self test. They seem to dig for the brains on my onboard tests.

Hope your are feeling better quickly. We were pretty much asymptomatic but continued to test positive and isolated for 11 days. We didn't want to get near our unvaxed grand nieces and nephews for fear of infecting them.

I guess I look at my RCL investment different - I'm not into it as an investment but purely for the OBC. Does the $100 - 250 credit make or break a deal just another component. I bought RCL in 2001 when I first started cruising at $9.11/share and only purchased the minimum amount of 100 shares. While none of us have the actual numbers. I would believe from what I see posted on CC that Lots of rooms (equating to passenger load) were and are being filled with non-revenue BCC promotional cruises as well as TA FAM trips. Also if I recall from the press release on-board revenue per passenger increased. Not sure if that's funny money (raise price and give a OBC) or a real spend

This is what I really find interesting - After the analysts digested the earnings report - There has been a shift to Buy and Strong Buy by about 1/2 the analysts. There seems to be one contrarian. Out of 12 analysts, 5 (41.67%) are recommending RCL as a Strong Buy, 2 (16.67%) are recommending RCL as a Buy, 4 (33.33%) are recommending RCL as a Hold, 0 (0%) are recommending RCL as a Sell, and 1 (8.33%) are recommending RCL as a Strong Sell.

You are correct - RCL does not break down by Subsidiaries. I guess my main point is that the recent cuts and surcharges have Zero to do with the current financial statement for period ending 12/31/2022. Any improvement fleet wide will not be reflected until at least the Q1 earnings report for 1/1/2023 - 3/31 March In my past life I use to calculate the margins by division and foretasted earnings on a weekly basis for the BOD. While they don't report earnings by subsidiary Cruise line I'm certain Celebrity is facing pressure from Corporate to hit foretasted Sales and Gross Margin to meet Corporate reported forward looking estimates. The main reason for uptick in prices is that they beat the street estimate by a huge margin and the market adjusting to future projections. All I can say is I have a big smile on my face. I bought many years ago and have made more money on OBC's that I pain for my stock so to me it's all gravy.

You may want to check with your Agent or Celebrity. A couple months ago Celebrity IT group screwed up and many people got unexpected OBC only to be deleted days later leaving people with unpaid excursions.

Go to plan you cruise - by selecting anything like excursions , dining or drinks. Very top you will see it next to the shopping cart. You can also select you initials and choose Order History to see what you have booked.

I can understand the OP's concerns. It often makes us feel better to groan and moan but important to explore alternatives if you are truly disappointed in the Celebrity product. I've recently been exploring other cruise lines and will be taking our first non-Celebrity in 23 years in July. We will be trying out Ponant which is totally different product but were encouraged by friend to give them a try. Our first Ponant cruise is a trial balloon to "Test the Waters". This week I've been exploring Silverseas and have short listed a couple potential cruises. It is also a totally different product but I can tell you the price differential is about 50-120% higher than Celebrity. Without any basis to compare I think like the airlines shifting between the mainstay cruise lines we will experience much of the same changes in service levels, staffing, cutbacks and surcharges regardless of the cruise line. We still have 12 cruises booked with Celebrity so will be interlacing alternative lines as we move forward. I can honestly way we are not proponents of the huge megaships which will also affect our selection.

It is a bit naive to impute the stock price to "how well RCL is doing" The stock price is responding to positive news that they beat the street estimate and are showing strong bookings. They key is they LOST $1.9 Billion last year. The initiatives we are now seeing may help them to finally get closer to break even. The street estimated the would loose ($1.96 per share) and they ONLY LOST (1.12 per share) Load Factors were in line with guidance at 95%, with Caribbean sailings reaching 100%, and holiday sailings close to 110%. • Total revenues per passenger cruise day were up 3.5% as-reported and 4.5% in Constant Currency, compared to the fourth quarter of 2019. • Total revenues were $2.6 billion, Net Loss was $(500.2) million or $(1.96) per share, Adjusted Net Loss was $(284.9) million or $(1.12) per share, and Adjusted EBITDA was $409.3 million. Full Year 2022: • Load Factors were 85% overall, full fleet back in operation since June of 2022. • Total revenues were $8.8 billion, Net Loss was $(2.2) billion or $(8.45) per share, Adjusted Net Loss was $(1.9) billion or $(7.50) per share, and Adjusted EBITDA was $711.6 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is a widely used measure of core corporate profitability.

I think the key is that you have to book it via Chase site and since they are then your travel agent you could not transfer to another for additional perks. Best to check what you agent would offer. Mine will often match another agency and also provide additional perks.

You probably received it as a booking perk with one of Celebrity's promotion. Kinda like the current promotion - often they raise the price and then make everyone think - ooh I's saving so much. In the current promotion the $800 is actually UP TO and could be between $100-800

You were luck they cancelled Santa Barbara and Monterey last year and we got Catalina Island. Regardless we had a ball. Crazy as it sounds I had never been to Catalina. Life's a journey and I'm only along for the ride.

I guess it is a balance between potential for irreparable damage the fragile ecosystem as opposed to tourism. I know it is a treasure in our back yard and disappointed that you may not be able to visit it. Monterey is an easy 2 hour drive from San Francisco so is not necessarily a blowout. Many Points like Le Havre to Paris, London from Southampton etc are also distant ports. With an overnight in San Francisco could be a fun overnight trip.

You will then have to figure out how to get a chromecast to authenticate your wifi account I really don't know chromecast but you have to have the ability to pull up the Celebrity Logon Screen and put in Username and Password. Personally I find Roku the easiest to connect to the ship unless you need to use a VPN connection to spoof location and then Firestick along with a travel router is probably the route to go. Have you been asked by Celebrity or your agent to pay additional. In the past - whether they used the correct word - you maintain your current rate on the new sailing. Would be easiest to call Celebrity or your agent and have them send you a copy of your reservation invoice. That way you would know exactly.

I've never played with that but I have a feeling it may be an intranet connection. One thing I noticed is that even when we have lost internet most of the TV Channels continue to transmit. On Summit in one room we had a problem that our TV would lock up and not allow us to navigate the celebrity page. Neither I nor the Butler could get to the power to reboot. He called a friend in IT and they were able to remotely reboot my TV. Fixed it instantly. Would happen sporadically and I would just call him and he would have them reboot it. I once a bad internet connection in a RS. IT came up and installed a Wifi Router in my room - It was wifi but had an Ethernet port I could plug into. I still had to log on with my credentials and the speed was about the same as wireless (pre-starlink).

When you arrive at airport there will be an agent holding a sign like at Florida Ports. the agent will point out the porter - just give him your luggage and you will get a tour number sticker like any tour. This represents your bus if multiple passenger or they will have other transportation arranged for you to the hotel. 2. Hotel is included for the first night and all other stops on the tour. 3. Upon arrival at the hotel they will have an agent that will either brief you or let you know which group briefing you will attend. 4. You will be given two colored baggage tags - one color for things to be kept on the bus and the other to be delivered to your room at each overnight. 5. Your excursions will have some sightseeing but on the first night you will be given a list of all the excursions you can add to your tour. These are all extra and could include anything from Airplane tours, ATV excursions, Fishing etc etc. 6. Food is not included - There will be rest stops along the way where you will have time on your own to shop, eat and clean up. Another thing they really don't tell you is that you will accumulate CC points at the same rate as your room.
