Today we are having a late breakfast in our room. I'm up at 7:00 AM enjoying a couple cups of cappuccino. Wish us luck as we are going on a noon whale watching tour. Celebrity didn't offer any whale watching tours so booked it via Expedia. It's about a week earlier than the beginning of whale season but hoping for some early arrivals. Some passengers saw a Humpback while at sea yesterday so we have hopes

Welcome. This B2B is our first visit to the Mexican Riviera and really enjoying. I hope your eye surgery went well. Mine was quite extensive but combined with Cataract since they were already at it. I love not having to wear glasses. I'm in the final stages of recovery and tapering off prednisone after 12 weeks. Friday I finally drop to 1 drop a day down from 7.

I have just been buying $300 worth of slots from my room key. They give me 3 $100 coupons to feed into the machine. I just feed them all into the machine and when done playing I hit the cashout and get a certificate for the complete amount. Later in the day when Iain has done the same we combine his along with mine so we only have one coupon to keep track of. Even when our account is is in negative territory (charged more than OBC) it is a win as we get 3x points on Chase (coded as Celebrity Travel). So far on both cruises we have been in positive territory when we cash out near the end of the cruise.

Generally $100 pp but I've had them waive before when I moved it to a different sailing instead of cancelling. Worth a try asking.

I wish. One thing I do like is we get 4 free internet accounts - I think the speed is a result of so few on the ship and the early birds were already at the martini bar at 4:45 for Cocktails when we walked by. This is a tender port and we only arrived at 2:30 ish. We decided to say aboard this afternoon. I was just playing around before testing and was streaming a movie from home on our home Plex server. It as streaming with no buffering. When I ran the test I know why. I'll try it later when more are back aboard.

On Solstice now and picked up the 2024-25 Caribbean's today. They said Europe will be released tomorrow.

Wow!!!!!!! We are in Cabo’s San Lucas today. Solstice - She went live last week. The ship only has 1458 aboard and was still only getting 5 Meg. Last week we had 1,660 and was the same speed. I connected to my home Plex server and was streaming. Most guests are ashore so decided to run a speed test. I spoke with our cabin attendant last week and he said before going live they let staff use for free to test. He said it was fast but slowed after going live.

We decided to stay aboard today. We may go ashore tonight but for sure tomorrow to go Whale Watching. I discovered they still have Affogato on Solstice.

The ship must be empty. I just did a speed test as was blown away.

We definitely shifted for one day last week and will be doing the same in 2 days again. Having said that I have been on a number of cruises over the year where they stayed on ships time. If taking private tours most had one spouse stay on ships time and one on local time. Confusing but it worked. In September we had an even more confusing one. Newfounland is a 1/2 hour time zone. We stayed on ships time for this port on both cruises. The Captain has the final word on whether the ship observes a time zone or not. No sure if it has changed but Cunard use to shift timezone on TA's at noon instead of midnight.

It wasn’t visible where we were anchored. Last week there were 3 ships in port. This week there is just Disney and us. You really can’t see it from the town. Also last time we were getting ready for the Rugged 4x4 tour and didn’t get back until we’ll after dark.

I’m having the same problem with my Firestick. I had to fire up a mini router and working fine. I also have a Roku and it has a portal to log on. You can also create a hotspot using a pc.

Last night was the first Chic night. The ship really feels empty.

Hate to say but haven't even tried it our. I usually use it or the one in the Master Bathroom at least once.

It appears that they replaced them all before they resumed sailing so almost in as new condition. I did notice they have new cushions on the sofa. The bed is the Cashmere mattress and is a true King. It feels so much larger than the bed in the SS.

Linda - I agree 100%. Also imagine this. The chair to the vanity actually fits under the desk. What a novel Concept. The other thing I like is there are actually electrical outlets next to the sofa and none of the 100 pieces of useless kitch the cluttered every surface.

I really enjoy the S-Class. One thing we really like is that it has Murano, which is my favorite Specialty Dining spot. We are going tomorrow and have invited Mar to join us. Should be fun as she has never been to Murano. The next night will be Tuscan. We chose those two nights because they were the least favorite menus in Luminae / MDR combination.

iain was a little concerned about being so close to the stairs but it has worked out perfect and is very quiet. They moved our Butler, Loyd, down to continue taking care of us. Our new stateroom attendant is Pramod. He is really good and very engaging. He immediately picked up that we prefer he not tuck the sheets in the end of the bed and make it up more as a duvet.

That was the main reason we departed in Tokyo a day earlier. Could get a lay flat seat for 1/2 the points. It went very smoothly.
